Hello~! I received two jaw + facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, front jaw) from Dr. Seokjae Lee of Y Mouth and Maxillofacial Surgery. I have genetic malocclusion with my lower teeth protruding forward, so every time I go to the dentist for an orthodontic consultation, I get surgical correction in every area. I heard that you have to do it. In fact, from other people's perspective, it wasn't that bad if you didn't pay attention to your face, and for me, if I put a little pressure on my lower jaw, it wasn't so much that my jutting chin was very noticeable..?! First of all, my square jaw was very developed, and if someone took a picture of me without my knowledge, my sloping jaw was definitely visible... And above all, functionally, when I did this, the middle part between the upper and lower teeth floated, making it difficult to cut surfaces or cut food with my front teeth. I couldn't bite. As a result, it was very common for me to feel sick due to poor digestion due to not chewing food well. But double jaw surgery seemed like a very big surgery to me, so I worried about it since I was 20, but I was not willing to have the surgery due to the cost and fear, and I worried for a long time before getting orthodontics. I looked around cafes, traveled all the way from the countryside to Seoul, and received consultation at Waigugang. First of all, I liked the fact that it was a one-person director and that it was one surgery per day. The director had a lot of experience in surgery, did not over-treat, and spoke realistically, so I trusted him and decided to go with Waigugang right away. First of all, I started with a prior correction and had surgery after 8 months and when it was 9 months since correction. [On the day of surgery] On the morning of the surgery, I went to the hospital alone with a nervous heart. While preparing for the surgery, I was so nervous that my heart rate was measured to be high. However, the nurse in the operating room took good care of me and we walked into the operating room together. I fell into a deep sleep as the anesthesiologist said that anesthesia would begin. When I opened my eyes, I was sitting on the bed after the surgery..? I can't even remember where I sat or how they made me sit...? Because I had painkillers, I didn't feel any pain and was just drowsy. I went there without a guardian, but the nurse kept coming in from time to time to check my condition, so I spent the day with only bruises. Unlike the worries I had before the surgery. It wasn't as bad as I thought. [Days 1 to 3] The next day after the surgery, I took out the urine line and hose, but it felt strange, but it didn't hurt. (It's normal for cowards to get scared before doing anything,,) They provided me with new care, so I wiped it with tissues. I drank it as I went. I think I spent my time concentrating on the ice pack because I could see my face getting ready for swelling. While I was hospitalized for 3 days and 2 nights, everything I needed, including a humidifier and neck pillow, was provided, so the only thing I needed to bring was a donut cushion! He changed the heat packs frequently, and even in the early morning, when I called him for help, he took care of everything I needed. Thank you to the nurse who worked so hard day and night. Thank you. ♡ It's okay to have a guardian, but I did very well without one. Only when I was discharged from the hospital. I think you can come haha [After discharge ~ 2 weeks] On the 4th to 5th day, the swelling reached its peak and my face was sore and I was worried, but then about a week later, the swelling started to go down. I just couldn't brush my teeth, gargled, and had a stuffy nose. , And for me, who has a big appetite, the daily life of drinking New Care was the hardest. But I was able to shower and walk, so I felt a little better. In the first week, I went to the hospital to have the stitches removed from my sideburns and also received a swelling laser. I continued to walk and use warm compresses until the second week for the stitch removal visit. [Week 2 ~ Month 1] Before, the swelling was so bad that it couldn't be covered even when I used the mask, but now when I use the mask, the swelling is going down to the point where it's barely noticeable! After the stitches were removed in the 2nd week, I went back to work the next day, but other than my pronunciation being a little leaky because I was wearing a wafer, no one knew I had surgery because I wore a mask. Haha. (Of course, when I take it off, everyone says my image has changed.) I haven't worked yet. I can't do this, so I'm only eating foods that I can crush with my tongue and ceiling, but I'm still able to survive because I'm eating a variety of soft foods compared to the past two weeks when I only drank liquids. After the stitches are removed, I exercise my mouth hard and wait for the chewing ability and the swelling to go down. It's done haha. There's still a lot left to go for the swelling to go down, but time is running out..?:)
