I even had surgery to remove the iron pin this week.
I think it would be good if my experience with the surgery could be helpful to people who are hesitant about surgery due to appearance complexes and stress, as well as to the doctor who performed the surgery.
Before surgery)
Before surgery, I had a long face and sloping chin. Because of this, I was very stressed.
At first, I tried to solve the problem with orthodontic treatment, but orthodontic treatment only solved the problem and did not help my situation externally. So I
searched and found that double jaw correction was helpful for a long face, so I decided to get surgery to correct the double jaw for cosmetic purposes. That's it.
Post-surgery)
After the surgery, I was first hospitalized for 3 days, and then I was discharged, but it was really hard until the first month. The swelling was severe and my jaw hurt, and I couldn't use my jaw for a month, so I only ate porridge and couldn't eat anything I wanted.
But after a month, I started practicing opening my mouth. I had
the pin removed this week, and I thought it was a bit light since it was a pin removal. It is much more comfortable than when I had the surgery, but the swelling and pain are definitely there.
In fact, double jaw surgery is expensive and has many side effects. I don't think it's an easy decision to have surgery, but after surgery, the difficult parts have improved so much that I would still get it even if I had it again. It's
already been almost 4 years since I had the surgery, so I don't remember the details, but if you have any questions, please leave a comment and I'll write down as much as I can!
