Since I was young, whenever I went to the dentist, I was told that I had severe malocclusion. The dentist recommended braces, but I was too scared to get braces done. As time passed and I became an adult, the malocclusion got worse, and when I went to the dentist, I was told that surgery was necessary, so I eventually decided to have double jaw surgery at Y Oral Clinic.
Two months have already passed since the surgery.
As the difficult times pass, time seems to go by faster and faster.
It's been 2 months and the swelling has definitely gone down significantly.
The doctor said it will go down by 80% in about 3 months, but there's still a month left. Still,
I'm very satisfied that the swelling has lessened. Many people look at my face and say that my face has become too small and that the surgery seems to have gone well.
When I was first diagnosed with double jaw surgery and type 2 contouring, why did I have to get a square jaw and front jaw done at the same time? I thought, but
everyone does it for a reason haha.
I feel like the sensation in my face is slowly coming back as I start to feel a tingling sensation. For meals, I mainly eat soft foods such as rice with soup or fish and steamed eggs.
Although I can't eat hard or chewy food, I'm very happy that I can chew food and eat it. The correction started again a month after the surgery.
I am doing mouth exercises little by little when the orthodontic rubber bands are removed. When I open my mouth, I can fit about two fingers in, and there is no major problem when eating or in daily life. Two
months later, I am still recovering well, so I am very happy and look forward to my future.
