Since I was young, I have had a complex about having a hooked nose and a flat chin. So in early June, I had an implant-less hooked nose and chin-less chin advancement surgery done together. So I started looking into
hospitals. If I write again in the future, I will leave reviews of the hospitals I consulted with, but today I I wrote a review about the place where I received it
- Consultation Review
First, I received consultation at Knott Plastic Surgery, and for the hooked nose, I
received consultation from Dr. Hyeong-seok Moon (I think he was originally at another hospital but came back early this year) and Dr. Yoo Ji-han for the straight chin.
First of all, I said that I wanted to proceed with a hooked nose without implants because I didn't want to use silicone, and that I wanted to make the hooked nose as straight and straight as possible to minimize side effects rather than trying to make it prettier. After getting a CT scan, I didn't get a CT scan when I received a nose consultation. When I was getting a chin consultation, I looked at my nose at a glance and it looked like my septum was bent, so I asked the director to check the CT and he said it was really bent so he would do that as well. So, for the nose, I had an osteotomy, cut the nasal bridge, straightened the tip of the nose with septal cartilage, corrected nose, and had a deviated septum. You said you would proceed like this.
In the case of the chin, I heard an explanation while looking at the CT, and I was told that my chin was slightly turned inward, so to solve this, I needed to have double jaw surgery, but they said that was not necessarily true, so I told them that if it could be solved with the tip of the chin, it would be moved forward. The chin was made with a V-shaped osteotomy, and the chin length was also 4mm. They said they would reduce the amount and remove as much as possible in the future, but they said they would only do this as much as possible to ensure there were no side effects, so they said they would go out to the field and check. At that time, they said they would look at up to 10mm, but in the end, they reduced it by 8mm. - After-surgery I set the surgery date and went into the operating room, and I took
notes
. The plastic surgery clinic appears to display patient information, CT information, etc. on a large monitor before performing the surgery. Did you go in shortly after 3 p.m.? I think I went in and came out around 8 PM. I don't know the exact time.
The discomfort was worse than the pain, and there was no cotton inside my nose. When I took the splint off a week after the surgery, there was something like silicone inside my nose. It was blocked by something like a nose plug. Because of this, I couldn't smell well and I couldn't taste anything. When I took it out, both sides of my nose were open and I could taste and smell. Anyway, I was hospitalized in a single room for a day, and a nurse came in between the visits to relieve pain. They came to check on my condition, including injections. I
just took a nap with my back raised at about 70-80 degrees, and the most painful part was that I couldn't breathe and the neck pain was so severe when I swallowed. After the surgery, two doctors took turns coming to check on my condition
. When I was discharged the next day, my condition was checked, I had a CT scan, my hair was washed, and I returned home.
For about a week, I couldn't speak properly and was in pain, I couldn't open my mouth, and I only ate porridge and liquids, so I lost a few pounds and had
constant cravings for 3 days. After that, I did it little by little for 2 hours in turns, and the swelling stopped on the 3rd day. It was the worst
, and after a week, I took off the splint and taped the swelling
on my chin. At that time, there was still a lot of swelling left, so it didn't go away properly. But when I took the splint off, I asked if it felt like the hook was still there, and they said it could be because of the swelling, so they told me to
wait, so I waited. First of all, I will post a picture, but the hooked beak is very severe and the tip of the nose is far away, so
even if I cut off the nose as much as possible, if I cut too much, will it be open loop? They say this can cause a hole to form,
but it has improved a lot compared to before, and there seems to be a limit to how straight it is without silicone. However, people around me say it looks more natural and looks like a nose without surgery, so I'm just going to live with it and not even think about having a second surgery. And about the side effects. At first, I couldn't breathe well, and the mucous membrane on one side was very swollen, so I heard a whistling sound. I looked it up and was told that it could be a perforated nasal septum, so I was anxious and felt like my nostrils were fluttering and bent. About a week passed, and around that time, I started making noises like that. It didn't come out and I could breathe through both sides of my nose, but now I can breathe well. My nostrils were exactly the same, but they said they couldn't make them symmetrical, so I just left it alone because I didn't really care about it.
I think you can say that my chin has changed dramatically, and my impression has changed because I have a chin. At first, my chin was blunt and the swelling went away, but now it has gone down a lot, and I was worried that secondary angles would form after removing about 8mm, so they straightened it all out. When I looked into it, I found out that my jaw also had a lot of side effects. I touched the wrong nerve line, so my teeth felt numb, tightness, numbness, etc. I also could
n't avoid this. I didn't have any numbness, but I had no feeling at all from the center of my mouth to the right side. As time went by, my teeth got tighter and even when hot things touched them. I didn't notice it even if I chewed my lip hard with my teeth while eating something, and I didn't notice it even if there was food on it lol. But it's not like a nerve was cut or anything, it's that my teeth are naturally stretched and I'm stressed out, so I was told that those symptoms could happen for a while, so I waited, and then one day, when I lay down and slept, I started to feel a tingling sensation
. I started to feel a lot of pain and heaviness, but my senses are slowly coming back. Now, when I touch them, they just feel like I'm touching my own skin. It hasn't completely come back. If I were to write more verbosely, I would write, but I thought it would be hard to read if there were too many, so I'd rather talk about the surgery a lot
. I think I learned more after not selling it and undergoing surgery
. I hope you never do it like me. If the order was reversed, I would have been in big trouble.
Fortunately, I met a good hospital director and had a successful surgery.
I only operated on these two areas, but in the end, I was cautious about getting on the operating table under general anesthesia and applying the knife.
There is no guarantee that you will be lucky, and you may be in bad condition... Anyway, if you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will leave a comment. The
before and after surgery photos were taken with the splint removed, so the blackheads...
