I had double eyelid surgery with Dr. A.B. Bae In-ho. The surgery was done on July 20th. I didn't think the surgery would hurt, but I was very nervous, and when he touched the upper part of my eye during the surgery, it felt like my nerves were being cut off, rather than hurting, and it was very uncomfortable. The director would stand me up and tell me to look at myself during the surgery, and he would keep checking the shape of my eyes while I was doing it. He played a song before the surgery started, and if it hadn't been for the song, I think I would have been anxious and had a hard time staying still. After the surgery, when the anesthesia wore off, I felt a slight stinging sensation, and after about two days, rather than a day later, it started to hurt a little. After that, I had a hard time because I couldn't wash my eyes, so it was itchy.
I had the stitches removed on July 27th, and the director said it seemed to have gone well, and that my double eyelids would become like double eyelids over time. The photo above is a picture taken a week after the surgery, and the swelling in the surgical site seemed to have gone down faster than I thought, and I was satisfied with the shape. However, I think the yellowish bruises around my eyes and the swelling around my nose still remain. More time will tell, but for now, I am in the surgical process and I am very satisfied with the results. It was my first surgery and I am so glad that it went well. I hope the remaining swelling goes away quickly. When deciding on a hospital, I think it would be best to get consultations from several places rather than going to just one or two because it is too much trouble. (If you decide without getting many consultations, you will be anxious...) I hope you all get good information from Seongye Hospital~!!
