About 6 months ago, I had a nose job at a famous hospital in Gangnam.
I'm a man, and my nose is a bit odd with a severe beak and no space between the eyebrows. So,
I had the surgery done by a famous doctor who knows the structure of the nose well and has a lot of surgical experience.
The surgical method was to shave off the beak, perform septal deviation surgery and osteotomy to correct the crooked nose, and then raise only the area between the eyebrows with Gore-Tex and support the tip of the nose with septal cartilage. Anyway,
it was a pretty complicated surgery, and it looks a lot better than before, because my nose was strangely ugly before.
The problem is that
usually when Gore-Tex is inserted, they put it in at least to the bridge of the nose, but I only had it in the area between the eyebrows.
Is this possible?
Here's the problem... The area between the eyebrows is nice and straight,
but the bridge of the nose, which is lower than the space between the eyebrows,
is sunken in and has become bumpy.
So this time, I decided to have a second surgery, and
the surgical method is not to remove the existing implant, but to carve Gore-Tex to fit the missing part and insert it. If
I gently push the bridge of the nose with my hand,
it becomes exactly 1-inch flat and the shape I like. I think it would be okay to just raise the sunken part by 1mm (if I just leave it as is, it's a weird shape, so I have to put it in,,).
The doctor said that they just have to carve Gore-Tex very thinly and insert it
. In my common sense, I wonder if they would have to remove the existing implant, carve the part that needs to be supplemented
, and insert a single Gore-Tex. (I'm not talking about Gore-Tex all the way to the tip of the nose.) If they leave the existing Gore-Tex between the eyebrows as is and re-sculpt and fill in only the missing part, it would be an incredibly delicate piece. I think it's necessary. It's irregularly inserted very slightly.
To be exact,
it's not just about raising the bridge of the nose slightly below the eyebrows, but also filling in the missing part next to the bridge of the nose...
Anyway, they're saying that they'll leave the tip of the nose and other parts as they are and just raise this part slightly with Gore-Tex, and
the surgery will be very easy and simple, but is this possible??
I'd like some advice from someone who is knowledgeable. Is it because the doctor doesn't want to see the surgery get worse? Is it really that simple... or should I ask for it more strongly?
ps. Since Gore-Tex shrinks and shrinks over time,
I'm worried that even if I fill in the part under the existing Gore-Tex, it will shrink even by 1 inch at first and become bumpy again. Of course, the existing Gore-Tex has already lost all its swelling, so it won't fall off anymore. The newly carved part is based on the existing Gore-Tex that has already lost its swelling, so... If they
put it in while considering that the swelling will go down, will they put it in a little crooked? Ah, it's complicated.
