I hated my protruding jaw since I was a student, so I had orthodontic treatment to correct it to a normal occlusion, but when I found out that the jaw bone did not change, I had bimaxillary rotation surgery to rotate it back to the same occlusion, and my large and protruding jaw went back in well. The downside is that the nasolabial angle is large, so if you have a protruding mouth, your philtrum looks long, and the swelling in your philtrum does not go down much.
