Hello,
this is a review after 12 months of double jaw + contour 2 types (square jaw, front jaw) surgery at Waigugang.
It's finally my 1-year review!
Right after the surgery, I thought a lot, 'It'll be natural in about a year... When will a year go by...', but sometimes I can't believe that a year has passed so quickly.
Looking back at it after a year, the swelling seems to have completely gone down. (It's just that my face gained weight because I ate too well^^) I thought that I was slower than others to lose swelling, but there is no swelling that goes down slowly, but there is swelling that goes down slowly. Time really is the cure. It goes down for everyone in a year.
I'm scheduled to have pin removal surgery next Saturday. I saw on YouTube that if you don't get the pin removed, the electromagnetic waves from the MRI will react with the metal pins, which is dangerous. They said that it's best to get the pin removed within 2 years at the latest, so I made an appointment for pin removal a little over a year later (next Saturday). I really hate the thought of having my face swollen and only drinking for two weeks, but since Director Lee Seok-jae of Waiguang really satisfied me with the main surgery, I have no worries about the pin removal surgery at all. (I almost forgot that there was a pin removal surgery..)
Before the surgery, my philtrum was short, so it was hard to connect my upper and lower lips (if I forced them together, I would get a walnut wrinkle on my chin and the corners of my mouth would droop, making me look crooked) and my face had a long chin. But honestly, I didn't have any inconvenience in living. In my friend's case, because of her malocclusion, she would often slur food when eating and her pronunciation would be poor, so she got lower jaw surgery at another hospital. On the other hand, since I don't have a malocclusion, I actually got plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes, not treatment.
So if you ask me, "Did I get prettier?", I didn't get prettier. Before or after the surgery, I've never once thought that my face was pretty (seriously). However, if you ask me, 'Are you satisfied?', I am 100% satisfied. Because this surgery was not done to become pretty, but to correct the parts that I really thought were complexes, and those parts were perfectly corrected through the surgery. Before the surgery, I constantly wondered, 'Will I really get the face shape I want after the surgery?', but it really did. I am very satisfied.
Now, I will finish the 12-month review. When I read the reviews I wrote at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, the worries, questions, and proud feelings I had at that time come back vividly. When I read the review I wrote at 12 months, I will think the same as I do now. 'I'm glad the surgery went well, but it was a hard time. I will never get surgery again!' This is what I think. ^^ I hope my meager review will be of some help to those who are contemplating whether or not to get the surgery, and to those who are enduring a difficult time after the surgery. (Please leave a comment if you have any questions. Questions about pin removal surgery are also good.)
Lastly, I would like to thank the nurses who have always guided me kindly and affectionately for a year. (It was amazing how they would call my name just by seeing my face every time I came to the hospital.) The person I am most grateful to is Director Lee Seok-jae. He reassured me, a scaredy-cat, by performing the safest surgery, and changed my life before and after the surgery by naturally complementing my complexes. Thank you so much. ^^
Now I will end my review. Thank you for reading!
