I found out that it was masseter muscle reduction surgery due to my habit of unconsciously clenching my teeth + jaw Botox resistance. This is a review after 1 month of surgery.
Because my jaw muscles are more developed than those of ordinary people, I was recommended by Dr. Han Seung-oh for reduction surgery. I heard from the director that my face would benefit greatly from masseter muscle reduction surgery. Although it's only been a month, I'm satisfied because I can see a lot of reduction.
Actually, I was surprised that there was quite a bit of swelling for the first two weeks after the surgery, but many people who had masseter muscle reduction, including me, said that it was a fight against swelling, so it was a bit of a procedure in the first place.
In addition to the swelling, it was difficult to open my mouth wide for about a week, so that was also difficult. Still, I could see the swelling going down day by day, so I thought it was all just swelling and worked hard to recover. Haha I didn't go to see my parents on purpose and just stayed in my room.
Because it was difficult to open my mouth, I lost my appetite, so I think I went on an unintentional diet.
I felt that my mouth opening had improved a lot after about 5 days, and after a week, I felt like I had gained weight and the swelling was tolerable. (I heard it varies from person to person) There
wasn't much pain after the procedure, and I have short hair so I can't hide it. It was more difficult, but women seem to be able to cover it up to some extent with masks and hair.
Above all, if you only feel a slight change that you don't know if Botox is effective, I don't think it's a bad idea to consider masseter muscle reduction surgery. Haha. It's a completely different(?) effect than what I've had in the past while looking for a procedure that was good for square jaw, so I'm very satisfied so far.
I got the surgery at a volume plastic surgery clinic, but there aren't many hospitals, so I think I went to about two places. From personal experience, it didn't hurt much, so I think it's worth it if you can rest at home for a few days. If you have any further questions, please send me a message or comment~
