I've really wanted to have double jaw surgery since I was in my early 20s, but
I couldn't do it because I was too scared and the cost was too burdensome at such a young age.
Then, a year ago, my friend told me that I had square jaw surgery at Iyu Oral Max! Haha,
I learned about it from that friend, and after learning more about Iyu Oral,
I chose this place because I had faith in it after receiving consultation from Director Kim Jong-yoon!!
Because it was a case diagnosed
on day 1
, I visited the hospital every month for over a year, so even on the day of double jaw surgery, I felt comfortable and not scared! There was no pain or discomfort until I got out of double jaw surgery~
And donut cushions are a must!! On the first day, it was a day of constantly sleeping and waking up.
On the morning
of the second day
, I received laser treatment and disinfected my mouth! The inside of one of my nose was swollen, so it was difficult to breathe through my nose. My face was so swollen that it didn't look like my own, but it was amazing that my chin was in there.
I want to see the swelling go down further and see my proper face.
Now, it's so hard to swallow water, so I drink water. I couldn't even drink half a cup, but today I got used to it and
was able to drink more than half of New Care.
On the morning
of the 3rd day
, I went to the hospital for laser treatment, changed my dressing, and was prescribed medication for a week. After
receiving discharge notice, I was discharged! Now, I felt overwhelmed and
uncomfortable at the thought of having to do everything on my own at home, but I got used to this as time went by!!
On the 4th day,
I was told I could take the tape off my face, so I took it off. It was easier to breathe and it was much better to take it off, right? Haha.
I didn't use cold compresses, but when my face felt like it was going to explode,
I just walked around the house from time to time!! It was so hard to breathe when I did this, but now it's easier and I feel much better. ㅠㅠ
On the 5th day,
my face feels like it's going to explode... .haha… Still, it feels like the swelling is a little less than yesterday. They
say walking a lot is the best way to reduce swelling, but it was so hot during the day that I couldn't go out, so I moved as much as I could at home!
On the 6th day,
it feels like the swelling has gone down just a little!
The swelling inside my nose seems to have gone down a bit, so it's much easier!!
And because I was craving sweets so much, I bought pudding, made steamed eggs, and ate everything I could.
As I write this, I feel like today is more worth living than yesterday, right?
It's been a week since
I thought a million times that I wish I could just get rid of the swelling in my face. I heard that
the swelling goes down better if you move a lot, so I went out to work occasionally and tried to keep talking!
On the 4th or 5th day, I felt like my face was going to explode when I woke up, but it doesn't feel like that anymore!!
The long-awaited 2nd week!!
I went to the hospital to have my stitches removed and received laser treatment. There were many people who said it hurt when the stitches were removed, so I was scared, but
it wasn't so much that I couldn't bear it! I'm really happy to hear that you can take out the wafer for a little while after removing the stitches and eating or brushing your teeth. I think that alone has improved my quality of life!!
It seems like the swelling on my face is going down little by little every day!! I've been working since day 7 of double jaw surgery, and these days, the swelling has gone down so much that I don't even wear a mask!
Every day is fun to see your face changing day by day haha.
