<1st day after surgery>
As you know, the first day was painful and hectic right after the surgery, but the pain was okay with painkillers, and after the surgery, I didn't just hang out there, but Dr. Seok-Jae Lee said. I was very reassured that the nurses kept checking on me until I left work, gave me ice packs and immediately helped me whenever I was having a hard time, and the nurse who worked at night took care of me until the morning. Before receiving the doctor's treatment, I received swelling care and was told by the doctor that the surgery went well. After hearing the post-operative care and precautions from the nurse, I was discharged safely.
<4th day after surgery>
I was personally having a hard time until the 3rd day, so I couldn't go for a walk and the only food I ate was soy milk. However, I used cold compresses very often, following the instructions given by the hospital. From the 4th day, my condition improved so much that I went for walks and even ate soft castella and milk.
And like other plastic surgeries, there were many cases where I couldn't shower or wash myself, but it was great to be able to shower. Facial contouring surgery really only lasted for 3 days. If you get through it well, there will be no problem!
<7th day after surgery>
I think taking a walk is much more helpful in reducing the swelling than just using a compress at home. Today is the day I go to see the cheekbone surgery stitch removal and progress. Today too, before seeing the doctor, I also manage the swelling with a laser and get CT. I take pictures and meet the director. It was really nice that the doctor did it himself when removing the stitches, and while looking at the CT photos he took, he told me that there would be good results as long as I was careful to manage hard and chewy foods.
<2nd week after surgery>
Until the 2nd week, there were no major issues, so I went for a walk and applied a good warm compress. Today. It's finally the day I go to have the stitches removed from my mouth, and today, as always, I received laser treatment for swelling. I don't know if it's my mood, but the swelling laser seems to have a good effect. I want to go and get it every day when I have time. I saw the doctor and had the stitches removed, and it was good because it didn't hurt as much as I thought.
When I got home after removing the stitches and took pictures, I realized that I am the type of person whose swelling goes down late. Since time is short anyway, I wait for the time to pass quickly by going for a walk and applying warm compresses.
Post-surgery <4 weeks>
4 weeks post-surgery, the swelling is on the right side. Maybe it's because it's worse, but I've lost a lot compared to the first time, but compared to the left side, it still seems like there's a lot more!
Today is the day I have a progress and check-up at the hospital, and they said that if there are no major issues, I can come see them in 2 months at the 3rd month!!
Today, as usual, I received laser treatment for swelling, took pictures with CT, and checked the progress with the doctor. He said the surgery went well and that I just had to be careful about chewing. He told me not to worry because the swelling I was worried about would go down over time, and to continue using the compress. They say the swelling will go down further by the 3rd month, so I'm really excited haha.
And I really like the side lines. I hope the swelling goes down on the front as well soon haha.
