I posted a review right after the surgery, but I'm posting a review after about a month and two weeks~
First of all, as the title suggests, I had the surgery because I have a long face + no chin + asymmetry. I have a wide face, but I only had the chin surgery, which was my complex.
I worked really hard and went to consultations for almost a month. ㅎㅎ
I have a long middle face, but my chin is long and I have no chin, so it looks even longer? For example, like the comedian Kim Young-chul or Kim Young-hee?? That's my face. ㅎㅎㅎ So during the consultation, some hospitals recommended double jaw surgery, while others said it wouldn't be very effective.
And I knew that asymmetry wouldn't be 100% improved with just the chin surgery, so I just lowered my expectations to the point where it would improve more than it is now.
Anyway, after going to several consultations, I concluded that the director's style and the face shape I was pursuing had to match.
Since I don't have fancy facial features anyway, I didn't want an idol-like doll-like line, and I wanted a face that looked less long naturally, and an improvement in my chin.
When I asked during the consultation if it was possible to edit the photo with Photoshop like this, I was able to find the perfect hospital.
She said that rather than reducing the vertical length, it is important to give the face a three-dimensional feel and shape, and that a chin augmentation would definitely reduce the feeling of looking long. I
had the length and width reduced with a T-bone osteotomy and slightly twisted it to improve asymmetry, and I ended up doing it for the purpose of improving the face line and flesh treatment rather than because my square jaw was developed.
I chose the hospital like that, and after some twists and turns, such as changing the date due to personal reasons, I had the surgery and although I still have residual swelling, I am very, very satisfied.
I used to have a long face, but now I have a round face. ㅎㅎ
After the surgery, I was surprised when the CT scan was a little bumpy, so I asked if something was wrong, and they told me that the thinned bone part can look like there is no bone.
I think I have about 40% of my jaw sensation back. I knew from reviews that jaw surgery causes lower jaw tightening, but I didn't know that you can't open your mouth very well after square jaw surgery, so I was really confused at first. Now I can almost open it, but it's not enough to eat a hamburger comfortably. ㅠ And my lower front teeth hurt when I chew along with the gum tightening. So I have to be careful about hard and chewy things and eat them slowly..ㅎ I heard that it's something you experience during the recovery process, but I
didn't know at first, so I was really scared and worried..ㅎㅎ I guess everyone's progress is a little different~ I know that there can be pain after surgery, but I think how much it hurts and what symptoms it shows are different for each person.. I have a hard time tolerating pain, am sensitive, and worry a lot, so I kept asking if the surgery went well. ㅎㅎ But I was able to meet the director every time and it was nice that he reassured me. The doctor’s words have a huge impact on patients, right? Haha.
I hope that those of you who are considering surgery will meet a good director!
Also, those of you who are worried and anxious about whether you will be okay after the surgery, please be sure to ask the hospital and I hope you recover well!
The surgery went well!! Thank you for your hard work ㅠㅠ I'm also thinking about having surgery this year, so I read several reviews and it seems to have gone well!
