Surgical area
: Cheekbones (triple close fixation)
Long curved square jaw cortical
osteotomy, deep cheek removal
+ forehead reduction, forehead lift
I was very stressed about my usual bumpy and wide face shape and round lower crown. And the forehead was too much of an impression between the eyebrows.
I wanted to do only contouring, but during the consultation, I heard that it would be a good idea to do forehead surgery as well, so after much deliberation, I decided to get 3 types of contouring and forehead surgery together.
Unfortunately, there are only a few hospitals that can accommodate all of them at once, so I chose ㅂㅌ.
In particular, when I looked for contour, I saw a lot of it, and the reviews on the app were pretty, so I thought I should definitely go for a contour consultation. After the consultation, Dr. Hwang was very proud of contour surgery and cortical osteotomy, so I made up my mind to do it.
As you can see from the photo, I have a dry square jaw. It doesn't look particularly prominent from the front, but my cheekbones are on the side, so they are very noticeable.
What I liked the most about this place was that unlike other hospitals, they said it was a secure triple fixation surgery, so I liked that part the most. I
had to stay in the hospital for a day after the surgery, but it was really difficult after I woke up from the anesthesia. It hurt a lot until the third day. Because it was difficult,
I had a lot of regrets about having the surgery for no reason, but after just 3 days, I felt much better, and from the 2nd and 3rd weeks onwards, I was able to go out and do my daily life
just fine. After a month, my mouth opened wide enough to fit three fingers, so I ate whatever I wanted.
The swelling was quite serious, so I avoided it out of conscience,,^^ The swelling was the most severe in the double chin and cheeks, perhaps due to the removal of the square jaw and deep cheeks, but I thought the contouring effect was slowly showing, to the extent that everyone who looked at me said that my face had become smaller, perhaps due to the bone damage
. As the swelling goes down to the cheeks, the swelling in the chin gradually moves to the tip of the chin, making it look like a double chin. After two months, this has gone down a lot!!
I've definitely heard from people around me that after the surgery, my face got smaller, my eyes got clearer and bigger, and my face shape became neater, so I'm already satisfied with the surgery, but I'm even more satisfied haha. I took a CT scan at the end of the month and saw the doctor, but before the surgery, my face was round from the front and my lower abdomen was more rounded. I have a slightly round face, but I was amazed at how my skull bone itself became slimmer after undergoing V-line surgery and cortical osteotomy. They removed the size of a finger, called a cortical osteotomy, on both sides of the jaw. I was surprised that only the bone was removed cleanly. It will soon be 3 months, so I will definitely take a picture then!!
More than anything, I think I liked the aftercare because it was so thorough.
Skin care, swelling management, laser laser treatment for forehead scars, and the doctor's progress were examined very thoroughly without me just skimming over them. I was able to feel how much the hospital cared about me.
And because I received the care, the swelling went down faster and the recovery seemed to be quicker. I hope you never miss anything!
+Today is exactly the 3rd month, and my forehead impression has definitely improved, and the scars are still visible to the naked eye, but I can feel them fading.
I feel like the outline swelling still remains in my cheeks and chin, and the overall swelling seems to have almost disappeared.
Now, I don't have any trouble eating and opening my mouth wide is okay, so I'm going to go get my teeth straightened again, which I've been putting off for a while!!
What do you feel these days? Do you feel proud that your family and close friends all compliment and recognize your smaller face every time they see it?
People I'm not close with only think I've lost weight and can't recognize my contouring.
The pain in my jaw is now completely gone, and I can feel the sensation in my lower jaw returning. I'm very satisfied.
And now I think I need to go on a diet. I want a slimmer face shape... so I'm trying to reduce the puffiness at the same time!!!
Then, if you have any questions, please leave a comment! Have a nice Lunar New Year everyone. I will come back when the swelling goes down further!
