I had a functional and appearance complex due to malocclusion since a long time agoㅠㅠ
I had orthodontic treatment once when I was a student, but it didn't improve, so I decided to get double jaw surgery!
Before getting double jaw surgery, I searched a lot of information about Western medicine. It's because it's a one-time surgery and it's important.! So I searched a lot on YouTube, and while I was searching, I watched a lot of Iyu YouTube videos ㅎㅎ So I got a consultation at Iyu Oral Clinic first! After that, I got consultations at other hospitals, but I trusted Iyu Oral Clinic the most, and I think I decided to get double jaw surgery because the director, Shin Won-jang, gave me kind consultations~
Let me share my experience on the first day after the surgery,,, The surgical site didn't hurt as much as I thought, but I just felt a little queasy(?). They say the first day is the hardest,, but I thought it was okay because I thought about it.
The second day was much better than the first! The queasy feeling has also gone down a lot~
But I remember having a hard time swallowing my saliva;;^^
On the 3rd day, I was discharged from the hospital, and it wasn't as hard as I thoughtㅋㅋㅋ
Thinking about it now, if I can just endure the first day of double jaw surgery, honestly... everything seems okay.
It feels like heaven compared to before! I think I just wanted a month to pass and the wafer to come out.
On the 4th day, I finally removed the band around my mouth and took a shower,,, and I remember it feeling so good!
I didn't feel any major discomfort except for not being able to eat what I wanted when I was hungry~ They said
I had to wear the compression band for a week, but all I could think about was wanting to take it off quickly~
On the 5th/6th day, I went for a walk for about 20 minutes, and now I felt like I was getting better than I thought to the point where I didn't have much trouble moving around! All I could think about was wanting to eat something delicious quickly..
Finally, on the 7th day! I can feel that the swelling has gone down a lot compared to the first day!! But there's still a lot of swelling left, so I hope it all goes down quickly! I went to the hospital for my progress
check-up in the second week, and it was the first time I've looked forward to going to the hospital this much ㅋㅋㅋ When I went for my second week check-up, the swelling had gone down a lot in a week and they said it would hurt a lot to remove the stitches, so I was worried, but it wasn't as painful as I thought ㅎㅎ The hospital told me to do jaw opening exercises consistently, so I remember practicing a lot~
The long-awaited third week. Now, I think I've gotten about 90% of my sensation back! Now that I can take out the wafers for a bit when I go out, it's comfortable, and I'm eating things like risotto or ramen that I can swallow without chewing ㅎㅎ
It's only the third week, but I'm curious to see how my facial lines will change as time goes by!
