I had a wonder amputation 3 weeks ago. The surgery time is short (about 30 minutes for both sides) and no anesthesia is used, so it is reassuring (?) but a bit uncomfortable. The anesthetic injection goes in once per eye, and it really, really hurts. It's short, but... it's a very intense pain. But after a few seconds, the anesthesia goes away, and the surgery itself doesn't feel much, and it smells like burnt squid, which is a bit unpleasant. I got the feeling that the surgery was performed thoroughly as they looked at it from various angles. Conjunctival edema varies from person to person, but I felt it was quite there before the stitches were removed (fortunately it didn't turn red and just felt swollen), and after the stitches were removed, it subsided rapidly and seemed to have almost disappeared by the second week. The foreign body sensation seems to have almost disappeared after two weeks, and now, in the third week, it is not there at all. And from the first day to the third day, there was a throbbing pain, so it was more painful than what I saw in the reviews. The stitches immediately after surgery looked really natural, so it felt like I had just drawn eyeliner, and I just wore glasses at home, so no one in my family would know. I usually put on makeup at home sometimes, too. Maybe I just put on some eye makeup? It felt like this. The results of the surgery are a bit disappointing. First of all, it was nice to feel like I had become a lot more compliant for the first week, but it has already become so natural that it doesn't feel much different from before the surgery. During the consultation, I was told that my eyes would not be able to change a lot, so I took some into account, but in fact, I don't think there will be much of a difference after a few more months. Instead, there are no side effects, and in particular, it doesn't affect my smile at all (I'm still in the early stages of the surgery, so I'm not sure) However, if your eye smile becomes strange or feels weird (It could really be a very small amount ㅠㅠㅠ) I will probably consult with several hospitals in 6 months and see if there is room for more. If I do it again, I think I will do it at Answer. If it doesn't open up too much, I think it's the limit of my eyes.
