It's been almost 5 months since my epicanthoplasty surgery. The
top photo is after the stitches were removed, and the rest of the photos were all taken yesterday.
At first, I was also nervous about the surgery report.
It looked like only the flesh on the outside was cut.
Now, 5 months later... when viewed from the front, the top and bottom of the eye line is broken.
When viewed from the side... it was deformed into a round shape.
I went to the hospital recently.
I heard that rounding of the corners of the eyes is a side effect of cleft lip. When I asked if this was a side effect, I was told
that the round corners of the eyes were because my eyes were naturally shaped that way.
He said it will look more natural over time.
He said the surgery went well.
I think I noticed the roundness of the corners of my eyes for about three months after surgery. Conjunctiva at the end of the eye for the first month? I was worried because the red flesh was too visible, and ever since then, I have been worried about the round shape of the corners of my eyes.
It hasn't gotten better in the meantime, and perhaps because the swelling has gone down, it feels like my round shape has become wider and bigger.
I asked for the corners of my eyes to go down slightly...
but as you can see from the picture, the corners of my eyes haven't gone down.
Every time I look in the mirror, I sigh, and my friend says that your eyes are strange... ㅠ I
posted three times to the hospital that the corners of my eyes were strange, and each time they said the surgery went well, so I thought maybe I was special, so I posted a picture.
What do you think?
First of all, I left a message at the hospital asking for a repeat surgery, but
there is no reply yet. They keep saying the surgery went well, so I don't think they will do it.
What should I say to the hospital?
First of all, I think the hospital will tell you to watch the progress until 6 months later. Even after reoperation, everything heals after 6 months. If you stay for one or two more months and it is still strange then ask for a reoperation!! And I'd like some hospital information.
The hospital said that the surgery went well, so it
's unusual for you to post like this. That hospital is a really unconscionable hospital. I opened my back a week ago, so I can tell you for sure, but right after surgery and after stitches were pulled, my eyes are very different from yours. Who's doing cataract surgery that way these days? That hospital is a real plastic surgeon, right? I don't know if the incision was made in that way to keep it from sticking, but it wouldn't stick, but it's definitely not a pretty case with a slit in the back.
If you look at the front or bottom photo posted by you, the tip of the eye is almost U-shaped.
This is a result that is not as good as not having surgery. The best solution for now is to urgently visit a person in authority for reoperation or a hospital specializing in back slit surgery, get detailed advice, and then perform the surgery again.
I'm similar to you. Where did you get the surgery done?; I'm planning to have the surgery again somewhere else?? Please share some hospital information.
