#4th day of rhinoplasty
I was always disappointed with the shape of my nose because of my curved nose and six-headed nose. After thinking about it for several years, I decided to have surgery. I consulted several hospitals and found the nose shape I was after (natural, sophisticated, and flashy). However, I decided to have surgery at Yejin Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong, which matches my pretty lines haha.
During the consultation, the director took pictures with a tablet and explained the details of the surgery in an easy-to-understand way. He told me that if it doesn't work, it can't be done, and there was no recommendation for surgery, which was good! (I wanted to have a nose job done, but my nostrils are small, so I thought it would be better not to do it, and double nose correction was enough. (He told me that it would harmonize with my face and make me look prettier.)
During the consultation, I showed him a photo of actress Kim Yoo-jung and a photo of Nmix's Seol-yoon.
After additional consultation with the counseling director, I set a date for surgery!
The surgeries I underwent were open-ended, including rhinoplasty, curved nose improvement, abdominal rhinoplasty, and columella recession improvement, and autologous cartilage (ear cartilage) was used.
I was a little nervous on the day of surgery, but the nurses kindly guided me, and after one more consultation with the director, I went into surgery.
When I woke up, the surgery was over and they told me I could lie down in the recovery room and go home when the dizziness subsided, so I lay down for about 10 minutes and then went home. When I got home, I felt my mouth return and the anesthesia was wearing off, but maybe it was because I took the prescribed medication
. My nose didn't hurt at all, and my ears, minus the cartilage, felt a little stiff and uncomfortable rather than painful. Breathing was the most difficult because of the cotton stuffed in my nose. They
said swelling and bruising would appear around this time on the first day after surgery, but for me, the bruising wasn't very noticeable and the swelling was similar to what you'd see if you ate ramen the night before and went to sleep.
Then, I went to the hospital to remove the cotton stuffed inside my nose. It didn't hurt at all and it felt cool. My nose was completely cleared up and it was really easier to breathe. They removed the bandage covering my ear, rewrapped the wound, and made a pattern of my ear, like earplugs, to prevent deformation of the ear shape.
The director also said that the swelling wasn't much.
On the 2nd to 3rd day after the surgery, I just managed the swelling at home using the ice packs given by the hospital. The splint felt a bit like a protector, so my nose was slightly tight, but it didn't really hurt, and wearing ear protectors made it much less uncomfortable.
Maybe it was because I took the medicine, but there wasn't much pain or difficulty.
I finally removed the splint on the 4th day after surgery, and it hurt a little when I removed it. But it was bearable because I opened the book in 3-4 seconds. After receiving the swelling laser, I returned home and found that the area where the bulge was was bruised.
When viewed from the front, the swelling hasn't gone down much yet, but I'm satisfied with the shape of the nose itself haha.
And the nose line and height! I didn't touch the bridge of my nose, but after shaving my beak and raising the tip of my nose, I got the line I wanted! It's only day 4 and the swelling hasn't gone down much, but I'm very satisfied! I'm really looking forward to the days when the swelling goes down.
