I had the surgery after just looking into it. I thought about it for a long time before deciding to have the surgery, but
I didn't know much about the direction of the surgery from start to finish and
just vaguely thought to myself, 'I want a nose like this'. When
I went for a consultation, she completely understood my messy explanation. He gave me the direction for the surgery.
He explained very well which surgeries would be necessary and which ones were not necessary. He
kept asking me if I had any more questions, so
I was able to resolve even the smallest of questions.
I decided to have the surgery because I felt that the
friendly yet professional doctor would do a good job if I trusted him here
. On the day of surgery, I couldn't get used to breathing through my mouth and
it was very dry from my mouth to my throat, so it was difficult.
I don't know if the nasal cotton was removed the next day or not, but
I had surgery on Saturday and had it removed on Monday
. I think the hardest
part was before removing the cotton. I thought I was prone to bruising and swelling, so
I slept sitting up for two days after the surgery. Thanks to that, I slept sitting up. There wasn't much swelling compared to other people .
There was almost no bruising.
It hurt a lot when I removed the cotton, and the cotton was too big so I was worried that my nostrils would be bigger than before the surgery, haha.
After I removed it, it got smaller on its own over time.
Even after removing the splint for the first time, I didn't feel like there was much swelling, but
they said the swelling would go down further and I can see it decreasing every day.
At first, I thought my nose was too high and looked like a witch's nose, but as
the swelling went down, it seemed to be coming down more naturally.
Since my nasal passages were so small, others may not see much change, but
I feel like my nasolabial angle has been corrected quite a bit!
I still have to wait and see how it progresses, but
the swelling and bruising are minimal, so recovery to daily life is quick, so
I'm quite satisfied so far.
I feel like the hardness and paresthesia at the tip of my nose are definitely gradually improving over time.
I'm hoping that the scar will disappear quickly.
