It's been 6 days since I had surgery for lateral beak osteotomy + nose bridge silicone + double nose/long nose correction (nasal septum + donor rib + ear cartilage).
After the consultation + surgery, I haven't seen the director even once (I couldn't hear the results/process of the surgery from the director, I asked the head of the counseling department and heard about it;) I only got to see the director briefly today, thanks to an emergency situation.
I removed the cotton on the second day, and on the fifth day, one of my nose suddenly started bleeding. He called the hospital and asked them to call again if the bleeding didn't stop for 20 minutes, but fortunately the bleeding did stop. The problem was that the next morning, my nose suddenly started bleeding as if a faucet had been turned on.
A lump of blood was pouring out, so I called the hospital. At first, they just told me to calm down and cover my nose, but they couldn't stop the bleeding at all, so I took pictures and videos and sent them in. It was only then that they realized the seriousness of the situation and told me to go to the nearest emergency room to stop the bleeding and come when the hospital opens. . Although it was early in the morning, an hour passed in vain while communicating with the hospital. (There was an on-call emergency call system, but no call was made for 30 minutes.) I
finally went to a nearby emergency room and stopped the bleeding with a temporary measure in about 3 hours. The dizziness was so bad that they gave me IV fluids, but I couldn't get all the fluids because I had to wait until the hospital opened, so I had to rush to the hospital.
However, when I arrived, contrary to what the employee who answered the emergency call in the early morning said, they made me wait for an hour and a half to see the director.
At first, they just told me to wait, but after about an hour, the director came and said that the director would be coming to work a little late today and that he would never be treating other patients, but as more time passed, he suddenly said that he was performing another emergency surgery?
I guess it wasn't an emergency because I had a nosebleed that filled the sink for three hours.
I asked if another representative director would like to see it, so I said yes, and after looking at it, he said it didn't seem that bad, and said it was no big deal. I experienced the chaos in the early morning, but it didn't seem like the director was notified. Even if he wasn't the doctor in charge of the surgery, I thought he would have at least given notice if he had come to see an emergency patient, but he seemed really angry at the lukewarm treatment. I was about to show him a picture of the mess and make a complaint, but I held on and explained it well again, and it was on his nose
. They say there is no problem as long as you put cotton in it and stop the bleeding. After that, the director in charge came briefly and put the hemostasis pad back in and told me to stop the bleeding for another 3-4 days. When I asked
him if there were cases where I would bleed this much, he said it was a case that happened once or twice a year and that it wasn't really a big deal. I feel like there is no way to do this and I am very worried..
I searched here and there on Seongyesarang YouTube and they say that if the bleeding is this much, the blood vessel may need to be sutured.. Would the answer be to just wait for 3 days as instructed by the hospital and stop the bleeding with cotton again? ㅠㅠ I’m really worried because they say it’s not a common case ㅠㅠ
