I finally got it done after worrying about it for years.
It's been two weeks since I had the surgery and I'm quite satisfied, so I'm posting this. I
already had a nose job using donated ribs several years ago, but
I was really worried because my nose bridge looked too thick and the tip of my nose was low compared to the bridge.
I take pictures and I'm in my late 30s,
so at first glance, my nose itself looks high and not bad, but it
looks so strange in pictures, so I was upset.
It also made me look older.
I wanted a nose that was gorgeous, but also natural and young-looking.
The thing I worried about the longest while getting my rhinoplasty
was that I didn't want to use donated ribs again. I've always wanted to get costal cartilage, but
I needed to find a therapist who is really good at costal cartilage.
That was the most important thing. Since there were many people around me who got rhinoplasty,
I heard a lot about them here and there, but I was worried a lot between O&Young, The Nan, Kowon, and Chiyu.
The reason I chose Director Kim Hyung-taek of Kowon is because I heard a lot since I was young that O&Young is really good at autologous rib cage surgery, and I heard that this doctor had been a specialist in autologous rib cage surgery for a long time when O&Young was famous for rhinoplasty, and that
his rib cage technique was really great (I also had a scar on my ribs, which was really... important...). So
I went for a consultation, and he was very kind and listened to what I had to say, and showed me the line I wanted with Photoshop. It was exactly the feeling I wanted, so I made my decision right away.
I was 30 minutes late for my surgery and I don't know what I was thinking when I rushed into the operating room, but
I was surprised at how thorough the nurses were in disinfecting and preparing the anesthesia before the surgery.
It's easy to think that a nose job is a minor surgery, but
I was really scared and nervous because I had to have my costal cartilage removed.
The director came in, greeted me, and started the anesthesia. That was also reassuring. After the surgery, my husband was fine because my throat didn't hurt at all after the anesthesia.
I only had a sore throat and the spot where my costal cartilage was removed didn't hurt at all, so I was curious? ㅋㅋ
No matter how much I think about it, I really don't know why it's fine. It didn't hurt.
I had general anesthesia and the rhinoplasty took about 30
minutes . (The old filler that was put in was left like beads, so it was removed.)
Rather, it seemed like it took more than 30 minutes to prepare for the anesthesia, but when I came out after applying all the disinfectants
, it was a little over two hours.
I thought that the surgery was really fast and that it went well.
There wasn't much swelling after the surgery, but on the third day, it was even more swollen.
A week later, I took the cast off and finally saw my
nose line, but it's sharp. ㅠㅠ I'm so touched.
I recommend Kowon's Kim Hyung-taek to those who want to get a fancy costal cartilage nose. The
tip of my nose and the bridge of my nose are still swollen, but it seemed like
it was swollen for a lot longer when I had the surgery before. There's
really no swelling, and the line is really pretty now. ㅜ
They said that it'll go down a little more and look natural when the swelling goes down a little, but I still like it, so I'm going to regret it when the swelling goes down. ㅠ
I heard from the nurse that there shouldn't be a scar where the autologous costal cartilage was taken, so they did that very thoroughly. I heard you finished it ㅠㅠ
I'm so grateful that the director didn't take any notice of it.
I'm so satisfied because I think the lines came out well!
