The photos are before and after (weeks 1, 2, and 3).
I had the surgery at the ENT clinic that pops up the most when you search on Naver!
It was a deviated septum + rhinitis + nasal valve + deviated nose lol (a total mess)
There aren't many reviews on functional nose otolaryngology surgery in Seongyesa, so I'm the only one who had a hard time finding informationㅠㅠ I
'm leaving a review for those who have the same problem~
I decided to have surgery. The trigger was when a friend of mine told me that it looked like a bone was sticking out of my nose!
I'm the type of person who lives without thinking about anything, so I didn't even think about rhinoplasty, but
it just reminded me of my dad's surgery for curvature!
I thought I had a genetic problem, so I went to the hospital, and they said it would be a good idea to have surgery because my
nose was curved too much. My nose was definitely curved in a C-shape, making it difficult to breathe on the left side, and
the bone on the bridge of my left nose was slightly protruding, making my nose look more curved and making my face asymmetrical, so I had to have surgery. I have decided!
Since it is a surgery that requires both function and shape, I searched a lot here and there... I didn't want to do a columellar incision, so I was looking for a nasal incision, and I decided to have the surgery at an otolaryngology clinic because I thought it would be right to focus on nasal function rather than shape!
The place I chose had very polarizing reviews (there was even a post on Sungyesa saying that their lives were ruined after having surgery here), so I was really worried right before the surgery, so I posted comments on blogs and cafes and asked questions before deciding!
The temptation was great because the surgeon had a lot of surgical experience +
nasal incision + dissolving thread. The surgery was done quickly, taking just over an hour under sedation. The
bridge of the nose wasn't that bad, so the doctor recommended that it would look prettier by inserting cartilage into the tip of the nose, and
I got a straight nose. I wanted a nose, so I added some dermis to keep the nose straight even after adding cartilage!
In the end, I think it was corrected naturally and well.
At first, it seemed too high and artificial, but
after the 3rd week, the swelling went down and it turned into a natural line! It's perfect now, so I wish I could get it straighter haha.
The left side where the bone protruded is very slightly curved, but
compared to before, it's completely smooth, so I'm satisfied :)
The line on the right side has really cleared up haha. My left
nose gets clogged every winter, so it's a daily routine for me to have a stuffy nose. It was
really nice because it made it easier to breathe hahaha.
Perhaps because the focus is on function rather than nose shape, the proportion of men who go to the hospital is definitely higher haha.
I recommend this to those who want a natural nose!!
