Do people who use ear cartilage have earaches like me?

I had cartilage taken from my ear and used for rhinoplasty, and it's been 2 years and my ear still hurts. It's okay if I'm still, but it hurts a lot when my ear is pressed or pulled while I'm sleeping . Do people who have had cartilage taken from my ear hurt like me when their ears are pressed or pulled? When I had the surgery, the doctor didn't explain to me what he was putting in my nose and just did whatever he wanted, and I regret it so much now.
