As you can see in my before surgery picture,
my nose was a bit on the crooked side.
Because of this, I looked more masculine
and it stressed me out because
my hair and clothes
didn't look good on me. So, until last year, I just looked into rhinoplasty and then
finally got it done. When I looked into rhinoplasty online,
I thought they would either just do an osteotomy if my nose was too crooked or just trim it.
But no matter which hospital I consulted with... they all said I needed an osteotomy.
I was worried that osteotomy would slow down the recovery and cause more pain, but I was worried that
if I got the surgery without it,
the correction wouldn't be done properly and I would not be satisfied, so
I decided to get an osteotomy that the hospital recommended (and they also used dermis)
. It was my first time getting plastic surgery and I'm the type of person who worries a lot, so
I was really nervous on the day of the surgery?
But because I heard the explanation before the surgery at the hospital, looked at the design again,
and underwent anesthesia, I felt like the surgery was over quickly.
To be honest, like any surgery, plastic surgery isn't the end just because you get the surgery.
My nose in particular was a bit stuffy and difficult because of the cotton and cast.
(The hospital I had the surgery at removed the cast after 7 days, but this varies from hospital to hospital, so just refer to it.)
And
after the cast is removed and I look at the shape of my nose, how will the shape change when the swelling goes down?
Are the sizes of my nostrils the right size on both sides?
Can I blow my nose now? Etc.. My curiosity poured out.
When I went to have the cast removed, I asked the hospital everything I was curious about,
and even if it wasn't the progress check, I contacted the director and asked him about various things
. I think it was fortunate that the director said it was okay to contact me first. ㅜㅜ
Since I had an osteotomy, I was not only excited about the surgery, but also
anxious. Still, after 2-3 weeks,
the swelling went down and the bridge of my nose was clearly visible, which was nice.
My unique male-looking image due to the beaked nose also changed.
Originally, I was thinking of only correcting the beaked nose, but
the director said
that my nose bridge was a bit high, so it would be prettier to raise the tip of my nose to match the proportions,
so I used my nasal septum and ear cartilage to raise it. In the end, I think it was a good idea
. If I hadn't raised the tip of my nose, I would have been less satisfied. ㅎㅎ
But when I read other people's reviews , I saw that the swelling went down and settled in
after 2-3 months.
It's been about a month for me too, so I need to wait a little longer for it to settle in, right?
I like the shape of my nose, so I hope it doesn't change too much haha
