Before the surgery
My dad has a really really big beak, and I
take after him and my beak is really bad ㅜㅜ My beak nose is the biggest problem, and I also want to raise my droopy nose tip ..
When I smile, the tip of my nose goes down so much that it covers the top of my mouth, which is a serious arrow nose ㅜㅜ I’ve been
thinking about it since I was 20 and went to several consultations, and then I really decided that I had to do it this time, so I made an appointment for the surgery!!!!!
Other hospitals all had good points, and I really worried a lot about where to get it done, but I saw reviews of non-implant rhinoplasty and it was good, so I went to D-Day Plastic Surgery for a consultation. During the consultation, there was something that really stuck with me. The director here recommended that I get it done without implants because my nose bridge is high. And he said that my beak is so big that if I remove it all, it will end
up as a saddle nose! It was the first time I heard the term saddle nose, but they said that if you shave off the beak too much, it will end up sunken in, so they said that instead of completely removing the beak, they’ll shave off a certain amount and then fill in the area between the eyebrows with cartilage!!! \I thought this method was the best because I hated silicone so much!!
I was a little worried because I saw reviews saying that if you use cartilage, the bridge of your nose will be bumpy… ?
But they said that they crushed? Pounded? Broken? Costal cartilage and shaped it into a pretty shape like silicone, so there’s no need to worry about that!!!!!
After the surgery
, there wasn’t much swelling after the surgery, and
I was worried before the rhinoplasty because I had nosebleeds a lot and my nose seemed weak, so I was really worried that it wouldn’t recover, but luckily, I didn’t have any continuous bleeding or nosebleeds after the surgery~~!! After
taking off the splint, my nose felt bumpy when I touched it, but the shape was fine!!!!!!
When I asked, they said that if it was silicone, you would just feel it if you touched it, but if you crushed cartilage and put it in, you would be able to feel it slightly and that it would get better with time!!
I felt that way for about a month and a half to two months, but
now, after a little over three months, I don’t feel that way at all!!
It feels like a smooth nose without a beak. I’ve never touched a silicone nose so I don’t know, but it should be similar!!
Final comment:
The frontal effect is similar because they didn’t put anything else and silicone in, but
the tip of the nose looks like something is supporting it and lifting it up compared to before? The arrow feeling is gone, and
if you look at the nose slightly from the side, there’s zero beak, zero!!!! It looks natural as if it wasn’t there before ㅜㅜ This is what I wanted… The director said I might see a bit of a beak before the surgery, but I can’t see it at all and it looks completely natural ㅜㅜㅜ The rhinoplasty result is good, the lack of implants is good, and the best part is that the beak is gone, but anyway, everything is good, the director is good, and the manager is good!!!!!
