The last three surgeries were performed without proper research because I did not think nose surgery was that serious. However, it was only after experiencing it that I realized that it is a surgery that causes more frequent side effects than any other surgery and requires reoperations at short intervals. As a result, I had four nose surgeries, and spent 15 million won on the nose alone. Not only did I have to pay for the surgery, but I also had a hard time enduring the side effects. I hope that people considering nose surgery will read at least once about the criteria for choosing a hospital, side effects that have already happened to the author but may one day happen to me, and goals for the surgery. First surgery. The bridge of my nose was high, but my nose was full, so I received a recommendation from a famous director at a famous hospital near Gangnam Station to use a special material called mesh, and only the tip of my nose was raised without an implant. The lines were so pretty and natural. I was happy for just two years. The mesh material was absorbed, and eventually it all settled down, and in the end, the tip of my nose became a witch's nose that seemed to be more spread out than my mother's nose. At this point, I started looking into revision surgery due to sagging nose tip. Second surgery. Exactly, it was around this time last year. Thinking that everything would be fine, I sat in the waiting room at a hospital in Gangnam Station where YouTubers are known for their fancy noses and watched a promotional video, and as if I was possessed by something, the next day after the consultation, I paid 6.5 million won for the surgery and got a nose surgery using silicone and even my own costal cartilage. The surgery was a complete failure. At the time, I did not check the director's style well, nor did I look into the director's experience. As soon as the splint was taken off, my nose became bent and my nostrils became asymmetrical so much that my chest muscles started to fill up and I couldn't breathe, eventually leading to contractures. When checking in two weeks later, the director even suggested early correction by saying he would perform the surgery for free on the same day to see if it would work. This is my third surgery. Because the incision was re-incised before it could heal, the scar became darker. Early correction is not recommended if possible. Surgery again by the same doctor? High probability of failure again. As the number of surgeries increases, the probability of scarring and contractures increases. After going bankrupt, I lived depressed with a crooked nose for a year. I still get PTSD when I see comments recommending that hospital and the director, so I will no longer share hospital information. However, in good conscience, I hope that the doctor will not force the patient to undergo an unreasonable surgery using costal cartilage if he or she is not competent. For the past year, I couldn't breathe well, felt panicky, and my nose was getting more and more sticky and crooked, which made me feel really depressed and tired. My impression changed so sharply, I had to get married, and the guy I went on a blind date with later became my boyfriend and when he first saw me, he said that I looked like “I had surgery and my nose was ruined.” The doctors also say that it feels like your face is ruined because you touched your nose incorrectly. I developed rhinitis after surgery, which I never had before, and in the winter, my nose gets stuffy and I can't breathe, so I only breathe through my mouth. Snoring is getting really bad. “Are you going to live with this nose for the rest of your life? “If you’re going to have surgery someday, do it quickly.” I lived in desperation by focusing on revision rhinoplasty for 6 months on the advice of a friend who was doing it. The criteria for choosing a hospital had to be clearly set, and the purpose of the surgery that would appeal to the director had to be clear. I re-enrolled in Seong*Sa, Ga*Sa, Yeo*ya, and checked the reputation of hospital apps such as Mo*Dak and Naver map app. Kang**ni, Bar*Talk only saw the photos for reference and decided not to put much faith in the reviews. [Criteria for choosing a hospital] 1. Please recommend a hospital at a plastic surgery cafe. When you post a post, hospital recommendations are posted in the comments. There will be hospital titles such as a hospital that pursues safety naturally, a hospital that does fancy surgery, a hospital that treats costal cartilage well, and a hospital that specializes in reoperation . Write down all the hospitals until you have about 30, and circle hospitals that are mentioned multiple times. 2. From now on, it is time to sell your hands in the order of hospitals mentioned several times. You must collect and study the information below. Director's academic background, year of acquisition as a specialist, training hospital, history, performing surgery for over 15 years, must be a hospital that only performs nose surgery, private hospital, must be an otolaryngologist (because functional surgery was required), presence of an anesthesiologist, CCTV, Follow-up management, the ranking that I considered important during the period. Score them in that order and prioritize them in your mind. 3. We investigated the reputation of hospital apps such as Seong*Sa, Ga*Sa, Yeo*ya, and Mo*Dak, as well as the Naver map app, of the hospital studied. 4. Make a reservation by phone and make one reservation per day. Even though it is psychologically and physically difficult, in order to be less confused, you should gather all your reservation schedules and complete them within 15 to 1 month. 5. I created a portfolio. Print out all the pre-surgery photos, post-surgery photos, photos of the celebrity's nose you want, what you're having trouble with, and what you want to improve, and put them in a file. When you go to counseling, you will also need to revise your portfolio. I'd like to do something like that, but if I go to about 10 hospitals, it's all confusing, I don't know what to talk about and what to consult, and each doctor's direction for surgery is different, so I end up having no idea. Clearly appeal, ‘I want to change like this,’ I appealed, ‘I’m trying so hard and I’m desperate,’ prepared post-its and writing utensils, went into the counseling room with the mindset of studying, and wrote down the main contents of what the doctor said and listened to the consultation. [Reason for deciding on a hospital] She put so much thought into choosing a hospital for over a month. Everyone looks at the test taker. I'm tired of going to the gym after work, and I'm spending tens of thousands of won to 30,000 won on consulting fees to study and find a director who's right for me. Looking at the reviews, other people say that they need to go through about 11 things to find the right director. There was a famous doctor who said that it was almost impossible to get the shape right because of contracture on one side, and that if it was 50% similar, it would be a great success and told me to go into surgery. There were also people who shook their heads, changed the silicone, let's raise it higher, let's remove the costal cartilage again, etc. Contrary to this, there were many hospitals where I was disappointed in the consultation. The period of attending counseling is a very psychologically difficult time. **Please request that the CT file be stored on a USB device during the first consultation. I don't think there's a need to go to multiple hospitals for consultations and get the same CT scan 10 times in a short period of time. I feel uncomfortable about being exposed to radiation for no reason for a short period of time. Unlike other doctors who smiled and shook their heads while looking at the portfolio, the director confidently said that it was possible to adjust the nostril asymmetry, and showed many before and after photos of similar cases. Let's recycle the costal cartilage that is currently in the nose as much as possible. However, in case it is too bent and difficult to use, let's make plan B by proceeding under general anesthesia and removing the costal cartilage as a last option in the operating room . Since this is not the case, let’s remove the silicone as much as possible. And then what shape will it change into? When I asked him, he took a picture and drew it on his iPad. The nose was too long, so he raised the angle, made it shorter, and drew it. You can tell he has an aesthetic sense. I liked it. After the consultation, I left and it was the first time I felt strongly about this hospital. I even had a precognitive dream the day before the consultation, so I paid the deposit and showed up. Point) It is a hospital that is good at autologous rib + curved nose + nostril asymmetry revision surgery, and the director, who has 20 years of experience, performs function and beauty (a place where natural and smart procedures are done with safety in mind), does not do any advertising or promotion, so there are reviews on the Internet. It's a pity that there are few photos. Many people come to see us through word of mouth and referrals from acquaintances, and it seems like they only perform surgery on 1-2 cases a day without overdoing it. [On the day of surgery] Go back to the consultation room before surgery. They took pictures again, asked about my condition, listed and wrote down today's surgery plan step by step in the medical record, and calmly checked. I think the consultation lasted between 10 and 20 minutes. In the previous surgery, the ear cartilage was removed so roughly that the sharp stabbing pain lasted for a year. It seemed rude to tell you on the same day, but I thought about telling you while I was under anesthesia and on the operating table, and I told him that I was uncomfortable here. Oh, right? While he was doing it, he said he would smooth out my ear cartilage as well. The director is completely considerate of the patient. We decided to add 300,000 won and also get plastic surgery on the ear cartilage, which was painful and uncomfortable every time I tied my hair. I printed out a photo of the nose shape I wanted and took it with me, and he said that if I sent the photo file to the desk staff, he would put it on the operating room screen and perform the surgery, so I did just that. The director of anesthesiology came and put me under anesthesia. When I woke up, the director gave me a briefing on the surgery. Autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage are not removed. It is said that there was already enough inside the nose, so the bent part was cut off and recycled. When the nostril contracture area was stretched, there was a lot of skin missing, so they transplanted skin from the cartilage area behind the ear and created a pad shape inside the nostril that was missing due to the contracture. The nostrils are almost symmetrical, so much so that one wonders how this could happen. Also remove silicone. What was so surprising this time was that there was absolutely no bruising and almost no swelling after the surgery. During the last surgery, my eyes were so swollen that I couldn't open them, and my eyes and face were bruised and bruised. I wonder if this is the director's surgical skills. [After surgery] Although they did not tell me during the consultation, I also received hyperbaric oxygen treatment twice. It is a post-treatment treatment in which the patient goes into a room called a chamber and receives oxygen treatment. Oxygen is injected into the patient's entire body to increase immunity, manage swelling, and restore physical condition. It's an expensive machine in the emergency room, but it's here. First spring. After receiving two laser treatments for swelling and functional surgery for rhinitis and curvature, I was able to breathe straighter and felt like I had won the world. Ah, this is what it feels like to breathe through two nostrils! Because it is a hospital specializing in otolaryngology, actual cost insurance covers it, so we performed functional nose surgery for about 1.4 million won and received a refund. On the first day, I woke up from anesthesia and received hyperbaric oxygen treatment. After 1 day, the cotton was removed and I received hyperbaric oxygen treatment and swelling treatment. After 5 days, the splint was removed, stitches were removed, and swelling treatment was performed. Last progress check in week 2. You will be provided with ointment to apply for a week, and after removing the splint, they will provide you with a 'splint'. You can sleep with the splint on yourself to prevent any shock while sleeping, and you can also attach this and wear glasses at home. The director personally checks each time progress is made. [Review] I went to 11 consultations, and some doctors said let's remove the costal cartilage again, some said this nose is very difficult, so 50% correction would be a real success, and since the nostrils are contracted, it's hard to make them symmetrical, so I should go ahead with the surgery thinking that 50% of the nose will be corrected. A sharp remark... out of 11 consultations, 7 and 8 were almost pessimistic consultations, and among them, there was a director who gave hopeful consultations (I can do it, I will do it, I can correct it), and among them, I had to remove at least the costal cartilage or ear cartilage and now. Let's do the surgery in a way that reuses the existing cartilage in the nose and causes as little damage to the body as possible . The goal of the surgery that the patient wants is not to be taller or flashy, but to naturally adjust the height, adjust the asymmetry and correct the crooked nose, and use no implants except silicone. The director said that since it is a safe surgery to treat rhinitis and deviated septum, we should use as many materials as possible. If you go to 11 counseling centers, you will end up with a headache, confusion, trouble making decisions, and exhaustion. The ruined nose that everyone said wouldn't work, the nose that was opened for the fourth time, the nose that looked like Michael Jack's*, the nostrils that were stuck together so my fingers wouldn't fit, are now rounded out and falling into place naturally. The swelling needs to go down, and you have to be careful not to bend it during systole, and the progress will be clear after another year, but in fact, I had already heard too many doctor's comments about the size of the pack , so I lowered my expectations for the surgery from the beginning. Make it round, correct the distorted shape, shorten the long nose that causes presbyopia like Pinocchio nose + witch nose, if only I could breathe through a clogged nose. This was a surgery I went into with the goal in mind. I knew that perfect symmetry and the best nose were greedy, so I set a goal for improvement and went in, and it seems to have improved by more than 90%, so my family and I are currently very satisfied. Everyone looked at me and asked how I could make a normal nose without causing more damage to my body, how I could make my nose look normal, how I could replace my ear cartilage right away, and how I could even use autologous skin grafts to reshape my nostrils. Is this truly the hand of God? This is a miracle. Even though I removed the splint, the surgery had failed so many times. Due to the trauma, I was so nervous and worried about what if I failed again this time that I couldn't say 'thank you' properly, so I wrote down my gratitude in a review online. When I was young, I just wanted it to be high and flashy and pretty, but after experiencing the side effects and going through hardships, I realized that a nose that is pointy and high, or a nose that does not function properly and cannot breathe due to blockage, is not a good thing. It was a surgery that made me realize how important it is to find a true teacher who always thinks of the patient's position first . Thank you for the surgery. [Additional] I know because I have already experienced how difficult it is both physically and mentally if the nose surgery fails. The more you do this, the more you need to focus, prepare thoroughly, study, research carefully, and proceed with reoperation. Before surgery, whenever your judgment becomes clouded, you should have a mentally healthy friend by your side who you can lean on mentally, ask questions, lament, and harass them, and continue to do so. If, like me, you want non-implant surgery because you do not want to experience any more side effects, or if you also need to improve functional areas such as stuffy nose or rhinitis, you should choose a natural and straight nose that will bring a harmonious life to your face rather than a nose that is too high and flashy. If you want a straight nose shape (especially as the name suggests, the shape of the columella is perfect), or if you need to improve your nostril asymmetry and crooked nose, I recommend that you add it to your consultation list and come for a consultation. Because it is a hospital that does not do any promotion, review advertising, or cost discounts at all, there are almost no photo or written reviews on the internet. I am grateful that the surgery I prepared for 6 months went well, and I hope that it will help others who are going through the same pain as me, so I am posting a review of my surgery before I forget this grateful feeling.
