If the doctor tells you not to do something, it's better not to do it, right?

I have ptosis in one eye and I'm planning to get double eyelid surgery unexpectedly, but
 since I'm getting eye correction and double eyelid surgery, I'm getting greedy and want to get epicanthoplasty too, but they told me not to get epicanthoplasty ㅠ I
 already have thin double eyelids, and they said that the line will be slightly higher than what I have now, so
 if I ask them to do it the way I want, it'll be a disaster, right? Is it better to reflect my opinion or is it best to just listen to the doctor?
