I decided to get braces because my front teeth were big and my canines and lower teeth were crooked. After getting braces for two years at a local orthodontic hospital, I am maintaining it with a retainer.
During orthodontic treatment, I was quoted to extract my two upper teeth, but I ended up starting without extractions.
And I had never heard that braces were painful, but it really felt like it was going to break. The conclusion is that only those who really need it should do it, and it would be better to avoid extractions as much as possible.
As you age, the space between your teeth will become weaker and wider, so I think it would be a loss if you don't have it.
