I was contemplating surgery because my double eyelids, which have small lines, make me look matchless and stuffy when I take pictures, but a friend of mine had surgery at Iwabaek, and even though it was an incision, there was almost no swelling or scarring.
So, instead of going to another hospital for a consultation, I visited Iwabaek and made a same-day appointment. During
the consultation process, I first mentioned the areas I wanted to improve, and the director told me what was possible. I
liked the line that showed in advance that this was possible, so I decided to have the surgery.
I was a little worried about non-sedative anesthesia on the day of the surgery, but the nurse was warm. Thanks to the doctor, it was over quickly and without much difficulty than expected (I think it took about 30 minutes),
and after lying in the recovery room for a while, I was discharged right away!
I was so satisfied with the line that it didn't swell significantly that day, so I thought for a moment that it would be nice if the swelling didn't go down.
It took about 2-3 weeks for the bruising to disappear from the next day (I was a case where the bruising was a bit bigger than other patients). There was almost no swelling, so I had no trouble going out with a little makeup on from the day I was allowed to put on makeup. It's
now been 2 months since the surgery, and even people around me won't know I had surgery unless I tell them first. Even when I
close my eyes, there's no scar and the line has grown, but it's not as swollen as a sausage. It came out naturally. I
had a lot of concerns about epicanthoplasty because it would make my facial expression too harsh or make my eyes look ugly, but I think I did a good job because my eyes looked slightly refreshed without changing my facial expression..!
The scar is only visible to me if I look closely, but it remains to a degree that I don't think it will be visible over time!
