I looked up reviews on two plastic surgery apps and went to Mind Director Lee Kang-woo for a consultation because the shape of my nose was my style.
First, let me explain my condition. I had surgery about 10 years ago using a septum + silicone, and
the shape was too high (the bridge of my nose was originally low). (Not on the side) I was a male, so the shape of my nose was odd, but it
didn't suit me, so about 2 years after the surgery, I had the entire silicone + nasal septum cartilage removed, about 8 years ago.
After the complete removal, the shape of my nose did not return to the way it was before the surgery, it became slightly shorter, and I had a complex about the fact that my nose was slightly lifted more than before, so I am looking into reoperation.
What I was worried about before the consultation was that I had already used the nasal septum, so I thought costal cartilage would be inevitable, but I dislike the pointy feel that is unique to costal cartilage, so I wanted to perform surgery using ear cartilage whenever possible.
I went to a plastic surgery clinic, but the managers and the patients waiting had very flashy noses (pointy, thin), so I thought this hospital wasn't for me, so I waited with the thought that since I was still here, I should get a consultation and get a
consultation
.
I would like to use only silicone and ear cartilage if possible, but if necessary, I will use autologous ribs. I told him, and
the director said that ear cartilage alone wouldn't work, and that there are very few cases where only the tip of the nose is operated on. I think we'll probably have to add silicone as well. However, he said that I would need to consult with the director to find out, so
I had a CT scan (cost 10,000 won) and went for counseling with the director.
I told him I wanted a natural, round nose tip, and the director asked if I could color my photo in Photoshop. As usual, he drew a picture (not high quality) and briefly explained the before and after and the surgery plan.
The director said that the bridge of the nose is still not low, so there is no need to use silicone. He said the tip of the nose is short, but it is not too short. A CT scan showed that the nasal septum is in good condition, so ear cartilage is enough. Since the nostrils are slightly visible, lowering the nostrils, raising the alar wings, and incising the outer nostrils are recommended because the nostril walls are thick. When I asked about extending the nose length, he said that given my facial proportions, if the nose length is lowered too much, it could look like presbyopia (this was the part I was most worried about, but you caught this part exactly, so my trust increased significantly), so I raised the tip of the nose just slightly. I decided to just do it to this extent.
What was interesting was that the director recommended the surgical method one by one in detail before I even told him about the parts I was worried about, so I had a lot of trust in him, but I knew that incisions on the outside of the nostril would leave a lot of scars, so I was very worried, so I asked about the scar, but it wasn't very noticeable. He said it was about the same
, but he said it would be a good idea to make an incision on the outside of the nostril if possible, so I think it would be a good idea, but I'm so worried that I haven't made an appointment for surgery yet!
I took the cost into consideration as it was a reoperation, but they said it was a very simple surgery and the cost was at a level I expected, so I didn't think it was too expensive.
