First of all, I had a total of 1.8cc of Misco + semi-permanent filler treatment 5-6 years ago, and this is my first nose surgery.
1. I went to ㅈㅇㅈ Plastic Surgery Clinic
because I heard it was a hospital famous for men’s noses. The overall atmosphere felt very classy and professional. During my first visit, I filled out a chart and had a brief discussion with the counseling director. After waiting for a while, I consulted with the director. The consultation was generally short, and the director touched my nose here and there and gave me an estimate on how the surgery would be performed. In my case, there was no need to remove the semi-permanent filler, but they recommended placing very thin silicone (1mm) on top of it + raising the tip of the nose using an osteotomy + nasal septum and ear cartilage. The surgery cost is 3 million won (if surgery is scheduled on the same day). No CT scan or photos were taken. Everyone was friendly and didn't force me to make an appointment for the surgery. However, considering the reasonable price, the doctor said that there was no need to remove the foreign body, so I ended up going to another hospital. (When I asked the counseling director, he said that the detailed surgical plan, including foreign substances, would be reviewed again through a thorough pre-operative examination before surgery, but I was very hesitant about the fact that the examination would only be performed after the surgery reservation deposit was paid and confirmed.)
2. ㅇㅂㅋ Plastic Surgery Because it's a
newly opened hospital, there aren't many reviews, but Seongyesa Hospital's ratings were good, so I made a reservation and went there. All the staff were really friendly. As soon as I got there, I had a CT scan and photos taken (consultation fee 30,000 won). Please have a brief discussion with the counseling director and explain which type of surgery is suitable for you while looking at CT photos with the director. Unlike the first hospital, they removed as much foreign substances as possible, such as semi-permanent filler or Misco thread, and added silicone to raise the bridge of the nose, and added nasal septum and ear cartilage to the tip of the nose to solve the problem of the nose. I also had severe septal deviation, so he recommended a functional nose, and the price for a functional nose was 4.53 million won (discounted price for photo event). I told him honestly that it was my first nose surgery and that the financial burden was huge, so he gave me a reasonable discount. The consultation time was the longest, about an hour, but it was the most satisfying.
3. I made an appointment at ㅊㅇ Plastic Surgery
because I heard it was a famous hospital for nose revision surgery. The staff were very friendly, and the counseling director was also very friendly and kind. The surgical plan discussed with the director includes silicone implants, beak osteotomy, double nose correction, nasal tip cartilage relocation, nasal septum deviation correction, and removal of foreign substances in the nasal septum and ear cartilage (semi-permanent filler and Misco). Unlike plastic surgery number 2, he said there was no need for functional nose surgery, and instead said it would be better to make an osteotomy to sharpen the bridge and overall shape of the nose. The price was 4.7 million won, which was the highest among the hospitals I visited, but the high price seemed understandable. The consultation fee is 10,000 won.
4. This is the last hospital I visited,
ㅇㅂㄹ Plastic Surgery
. I decided to seek counseling after reading the comments from Seongyesa several times. As soon as I got there, I had a CT scan, had a very brief consultation with the counseling director, and then immediately consulted with the director. As soon as the director saw my CT photo, he immediately did not recommend plastic surgery and told me honestly that there was no need for plastic surgery. Because of the semi-permanent filler that went into the bridge of my nose, I would be glad if the nose surgery ended well, but there was a good chance it would end badly, so he did not recommend plastic surgery. He even asked me if other hospitals did not recommend plastic surgery, and when I told him about the surgery plan recommended by other hospitals, he said he would never recommend the surgery. When I asked whether functional nose surgery was necessary due to a deviated septum, the director showed me a CT photo and firmly told me that there was no need for it if I had no breathing problems. Honestly, it was the most reliable hospital among the hospitals I visited. If it wasn't for the recommendation, I think I would have paid the deposit and scheduled the surgery right away. The consultation fee was free.
In conclusion, I made an appointment for surgery at the second hospital I visited. The words of the hospital director I visited the last time really bothered me, but I decided to have surgery because I wanted to fix my complex. Is the second hospital a private hospital where the director is alone? I decided because I liked the surgical method without the osteotomy and the same feeling. I will post a review of the surgery later.
