Today is exactly one month since I had surgery on the tip of my nose using silicone on the bridge of my nose, a hook osteotomy, and nasal septum and ear cartilage. I had
some nosebleeds for up to two weeks due to birth control, but the doctor treated me well, and I was recovering normally two weeks later. Immediately after the surgery, only the tip of my nose was affected. The slight redness mysteriously gradually disappeared after 2 weeks.
However, after the 3rd week, foreign substances such as fine dust made me feel stuffy and difficult to breathe, so I asked the teacher and gently rinsed my nose with only saline water. The blockage has improved a lot.
I thought it would be over without any inflammation, but yesterday morning, just a day before the one-month anniversary... I was fine when I woke up, but when I got out of the shower, my nose was red like a drunk person. From then on, I felt a little heavy all day long, a lot. It wasn't swollen, but it definitely felt like the tip of my nose was a bit swollen... While I was recovering for a while, the swelling went down and it wasn't the same as it was, and only the tip of my nose got slightly bigger. I had to go to work, so I took the remaining hospital antibiotic prescription and went to the hospital after work, and the doctor examined the inside of my nose. He looked into it and wiped it with a distance, and said that it was clean and that it was not an infection. He assured me that there was no need to worry. However, he said that the very small amount of blood between the eyebrows had not yet been completely absorbed, so he gave me an injection to help absorb it only in that area... There was no need to take medicine. They said there was no need to come to the treatment that was originally scheduled for a month this weekend... but they didn't say anything about why it was so red.
Even now, I don't feel sick or hot... I don't have a runny nose or pus, but when I got out of the shower this morning, my nose was definitely red all over. Why is this happening? Is there anyone who has the same experience as me? Is this just a prelude to inflammation and swelling like this? I'm so scared...
