It took a little over 3 weeks for me to have rhinoplasty. It's been about 20 days.
But I can't breathe well, so it's very painful... ㅠ.ㅠ
They cut off the curved beak and made an osteotomy to widen the bridge of the nose, and
nothing was added to the bridge of the nose.
At the tip of the nose, septal cartilage was used to make the round nose bridge more pointed.
The bridge of the nose was slightly reduced.
The night I had rhinoplasty,
I couldn't breathe through my nose at all, even though
I didn't put cotton in my nose and there was very little blood
. It was so painful that I couldn't sleep or eat because I felt like I was suffocating while breathing through my mouth.
I felt like I wanted to go to the emergency room...
but I barely held back, thinking that since I had nose surgery, other people would feel the same way.
A few days later, I went for disinfection, and
3 days after the surgery, one nostril got a little bit of air.
4-5 days after the surgery, the other nostril got a little bit of air too, so
it was blocked and cleared, but it seemed to be okay.
After the splint was removed, the swelling and bruising on the outside of the nose gradually disappeared, and
the mucus inside the nose also decreased.
As for the current condition...
it's better than it was right after the surgery.
Both nostrils may be blocked or alternately blocked, but
you can breathe shallowly through both nostrils at the same time.
But the problem is that I can't breathe as deeply as I used to.
Even though I continue to breathe shallowly only from the lower to middle part of my nose,
I feel like I am short of breath, and
when I inhale, I do not feel refreshed in my head or chest.
Also, I don't know if it's because I'm taking rhinitis medicine, but
it feels like a little bit of air is going down my throat when I breathe in.
The feeling of unfiltered air reaching your throat?
So my throat is a little dry and a little sore.
I have been experiencing symptoms of dry throat since taking rhinitis medication about 3 days ago.
There is some chest fat, but not much.
The nostril area seems to be healing well.
Although my nose is always moist.
Since I didn't have any great desires from the beginning,
I thought the shape of my nose and the scar on my nose would get better, but
I couldn't breathe well, so it
was very frustrating and I felt like I was suffocating several times a day, so it was difficult.
Now, as the blockage continues,
I feel like I'm suffocating even when I eat or take a shower.
My nose keeps making noises.
I called the hospital, but
the manager said it was swelling
and told me not to worry and
treated me like a sensitive person.
Since I saw him walking around outside, I thought he wasn't breathing, so I waited.
When I asked how long I had to wait,
I was told that it would usually get better in two weeks when I was disinfecting the stitches, but
now I was told that it would take a month or two.
He said he did the same.
He also said that I seemed too anxious and worried and asked me to take some tranquilizers.
The director also said that it was a natural phenomenon and that it would get better (did he really ask?), so I
was worried and went to several otolaryngologists nearby, but they said
that the endoscope showed that the inside of the nostrils were healing well and that
there was no major problem with breathing. .
The inside of my nose isn't very swollen either.
I had a CT scan just in case, and
he said that one nostril would be more clogged
because the nasal valve on one side was in contact with the skin,
so he pushed his cheek outward, and
I could breathe more than before,
but the amount of breath increased, but
the stuffiness was still there.
He said that reducing the bridge of the nose would also have an effect.
Although air is coming in,
it feels like it is not going properly into each part of my body...
My breathing has changed.
The ENT doctor prescribed meds for rhinitis, saying it might be due to swollen mucous membranes. I have been taking it for 3 days, but
there is no significant improvement. I don't think there is one. On the contrary, only the inside of my nose is very dry...
The hospital said that if I wait a little longer, it will come back to how it was before.
Among the people who have had surgery so far, there has not been a single person like this
and that I will be able to breathe 100% like normal.
They said that it is because my nose is swollen,,,
but the strange thing is.
Even when I breathe when my nose is open and my nose is open,
I inhale and exhale air, but
it doesn't feel cool at all.
I'm breathing, but I feel like I'm only breathing about 60% of the time.
And if it's swelling, it should get better as the days go by, but
if it continues to be like this after taking off the splint,
isn't there something strange?
Is there anyone who
, like me, had a stuffy nose 3 weeks after rhinoplasty,
had difficulty breathing, felt stuffy, or
felt as if they were completely out of breath?
I hope it's just swelling. It's so hard...ㅠ.ㅠ
(It's too late to give you hospital information yet,,,)
