I had surgery on Monday. Septum deviation surgery + Since the bridge of the nose is high, they said they would use 2mm silicone for the bridge of the nose, tie the tip of the nose, and use ear cartilage. Perhaps they wanted to do it with an open type... I told them that I wanted to have open surgery because I have a deviated septum, and the doctor said ok and said they would also use the cartilage at the tip of my ear since my septum might not be enough. I was concerned because there were many reviews saying that the ear cartilage was very painful. Fortunately, when I woke up after surgery, only my septum was in use. The amount was sufficient haha.
The first photo was taken on Monday, the day after surgery.
The second and third photos were taken today. The swelling is very severe;; This morning, I went to get the cotton removed, and
the doctor said that he had never seen a young friend with this much swelling and that he had never seen a patient with this much swelling in one day during surgery this year. I originally went to remove the cotton inside my nose today, but the doctor said he couldn't remove the cotton and squeezed out the blood inside the cotton, so he gave me an injection to reduce the swelling... I can't breathe through my mouth for two days in a row, so it's hard to sleep;; haha. Ah
. To put it bluntly, I think the swelling is really severe, just like the lady with the fan...ㅠ.ㅠ
On the first day, I didn't use a cold pack for an hour. The doctor told me to just watch TV in peace ㅡㅡ;
Maybe it's because I didn't use the compress, but I was so swollen that it was hard to even open my eyes this morning... I asked the nurse at the hospital if she was crazy! The teacher said that, but she thought it would be better to apply cold compresses all day and go for a walk to get the swelling down. They said the bruises would last a really long time.. Ugh..
So I've been using cold compresses since I came today, and it's gotten a little better, but the bruises are no joke...
I think it'll really take 2 weeks to go away... I've been this badly swollen and bruised since I was born. I've never seen it before...ㅠㅠ
Has anyone ever had this much swelling like me? What is effective in reducing swelling?
