When I worked at a plastic surgery clinic, I once did a really shocking viral thing.
In order to promote our hospital,
we created an open chat room related to plastic surgery and
all of our hospital employees entered the room.
After that, we hid our identities
from new people
and made it seem like a normal chat room talking about plastic surgery.
Our goal was to
subtly praise our hospital and
bring in people by saying things like , “I had it done here and it was great.”
Since our hospital specialized in liposuction,
and the hashtag was #liposuction,
some of our patients who had just had surgery
came in on their own.
Out of 20 people in the chat room,
19 of them, excluding that person, were people from the hospital
. Without realizing it, the patient
sent a picture of his face to the chat room saying he had just had surgery and asked questions like, “What does it look like?” and
“Does anyone know Hospital 00?”
Every single day, he would send pictures of his swelling to the chat room…
He would leave all sorts of reviews… and talk about plastic surgery…
Of course, since it was our hospital, the employees
would say, “Oh, I’ve heard about it there! I heard it’s really good?”
Wow, I should go there for a consultation too.
It was just like the Truman Show itself.
And after a week, she came back to get her stitches pulled, and
the stylists were all like, "Mr. 00 is coming today, lol.
What should I do? Let's pretend not to know..." and they laughed at her
and she was the only patient who didn't know. It was just like the Truman Show itself. It was so
bizarre.
