1. I had the surgery without telling my parents, so on the first day I went to a sauna and slept outside.
My face was bandaged, but I don’t know why I was doing that.
I came home alone, but I don’t remember how I got there. I
remember the ladies at the sauna nagging me.
2. The swelling was at its peak around the 5th day.
I looked in the mirror and cried. My face became the size of a basketball. I remember it vividly. It was scary. My face was like a
soccer ball. 3. After about a month, I thought the swelling had almost gone down, so I walked around, but if you look at pictures from back then, my face is the size of a soccer ball. The swelling lasted
a year. It was at its prettiest around the 2nd or 3rd year, but I needed to get my face contoured after that. I could see sagging.
4. Would you do it again? ㅇㅇ
I went to a dermatologist and got tested and they praised my cheekbone width as the ideal width.
I did it in my early 20s. The hospital and director who had the surgery at that time
are still the same. Before getting the cheekbone surgery, I was so stressed that I could only see the cheekbones.
5. I have pins in my face
. I'm thinking about whether to get them removed or not. I secretly have to get CT scans a lot. I think it'll get worse as I get older.
They say that if you have pins in your cheekbones, you can't use them. I don't know if that's true
.
6. Side effects
: When I touch the skin above the 45-degree cheekbone, it doesn't feel like my skin. It's been like that from the beginning and it's still like that now, so I think it'll last a lifetime.
There are no other side effects. Sagging is inevitable.
7. Sagging
Now that I'm old, I get upset every time I look in the mirror. I only had the cheekbone surgery, but there's complex and subtle sagging in the center (from the front cheekbone to the nasolabial fold).
8. Management:
After the surgery, the skin is lumpy on the 45-degree cheekbone, side cheekbones, and above the nasolabial fold (I went to an oriental medicine clinic (I got an ultrasound) I
went to a famous oriental medicine clinic for swelling management after plastic surgery, got acupuncture and herbal medicine, and then I went to a dermatologist and
got rid of the thick fat on my cheekbones and above my
nasolabial fold with something like a contouring injection
. This year, I got filler on the sides of my cheekbones and Juvelook volume on my nasolabial fold because of my sagging
skin. I’m not sure if the sagging skin was caused by the cheekbones, but I think I aged quickly because I’ve done a lot of things to my skin since I was young.
I occasionally used shrink or inmode until my mid-20s, and
I’ve been getting Ulthera treatment every year since my late 20s.
9. Pain
I don’t remember because it’s been so long.. but I don’t think it hurt. I just got rhinoplasty and am getting the swelling down, but my nose hurts a hundred times more?
But since it was a gum incision, I had to eat and gargle while taking care of it, so it was a hassle.
There’s so much TMI ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
