Hello, ladies~~
I lived alone and had to recover from surgery, and it was really lonely and difficult...
I think there are a lot of people like me, and I'm sure you're worried a lot before surgery, so I'll gather some useful tips so you can prepare in advance!
(The last one is the most important)
1. Before surgery
[Stock up collagen]
The pharmacist at the pharmacy on the first floor where I had surgery was really kind and gave me a lot of advice, one of which was taking collagen! It is used to prevent stretch marks from forming and to help the skin stick together well. I usually take it every day, but after hearing about this after surgery, I bought more.
Buy one that contains more than 3000mg, and if you have very thin skin, you can take two at a time! They say it is best absorbed when taken on an empty stomach, so I ate it as soon as I woke up in the morning.
[Buying disposable body wipes]
I bought them at Coupang!! I didn't even sweat, but if I wiped it with this, something got on it...? LOL...
[Putting up water]
It's hard to lift the 1.5L bottle I usually use... Order at least one batch of 500ml!
Can you make a hole for those celebrities to insert a straw? I haven't been able to do that, but I think it would be really nice to have it ㅠㅠ It's painful to get up to drink water after lying down.
[Trash/separate collection completed and a large bin prepared]
There's a lot of garbage such as plastic, wet tissues, disinfection sticks, etc.!!
[Stock up things that are easy to eat like porridge and bread]
I'm hungry even if I just lie down, kids.. But it's really annoying.. Stock up on a lot of food. Not snacks, but things that help with recovery! It's good to have good quality protein,
like the boiled meat packs from Market Kurly or E-Mart?
(From here, it is not necessary the day before the surgery, but after the surgery, it is difficult to get out of bed and it is difficult and painful to open the packaging, so it is better to buy it in advance and organize recycling)
[Buying stretch mark cream]
I did a quick search on Coupang and bought it haha All Young and Pharmacy 4, I went to 5 places and they didn't have any (I wanted to trust the professional MD's choice), but what about Lee Young-ae's... But I think it would be okay to buy something else. Is it because I also took collagen? I didn’t gain any weight!
[Buy a cushion that you can lean on if you don't have a sofa]
The hardest thing is getting up and lying down. I've heard that you don't have to have one, but the chair is not comfortable so it's hard to sit for a long time, and I want to keep lying down, but it's hard to get up once I lie down, so it would be nice to have one. If you can, do it. !!
[Buying a recovery bra]
If you have surgery, the hospital will give you a bra, but after the bandage comes off after about 5 to 7 days, you can shower and take off the bra, right? I felt so uncomfortable that I just bought a bra.
You guys can't wear any of the bras you used to wear anymore lol. Well, a lot of people are buying things like V-Fit, but they're expensive, right? You don't have to wear that, but you can't wear just any bra and only choose one that has a band that hugs the bottom of your breasts!! At least 3 or 4? The more the better, because laundry is a hassle;
[Large T-shirt]
Everyone has a box t-shirt, but what if you don’t have one? When something happens that wasn't there before, for some reason, I feel embarrassed when I leave. It's easy to put on and take off
. 2. On the day of surgery
[What to prepare]
I took a taxi because it was close to my house, so I didn't have to take much with me. Just a backpack, a hat, a mask, lip balm, a wallet
[Right before surgery] Did
the teacher design your body with marker? You do it and leave, but when you look in the mirror, you laugh out loud... That's the last time you'll be able to smile for the next week... Smile a lot... It hurts when I smile^^..
[Immediately after surgery]
My throat is very sore from anesthesia, so don’t cough!!! Neck injury. The nurses were so sweet and took good care of me ㅠㅠ They gave me candy and brought me warm water... I was so thankful that I cried when I was recovering ㅠ While I felt ashamed of myself for making such a painful choice, my love for humanity increased and it was worth it... ㅅㅠ Thank you to all the staff..
[Returning home]
It is difficult to open or close the taxi door, so be careful...
3. Post-surgery recovery
[meteorology]
This is the most important..!!! It's safe to say that I wrote this article because of this haha.
It would be more comfortable if I had a cushion, but I didn't buy one, so getting up was really painful. Really... … It takes 10 minutes to wake up. 10 minutes full of pain is a really long time. Guys,
at first I didn't have the hang of it, so I woke up out of breath, but I'll tell you what I learned later. Practice before surgery!!!!!!
- Just get your legs out of the bed for now
- Never put pressure on your chest and arms (bring your arms together like Tutankhamun and fix them so your chest doesn't shake), and gradually walk out of the bed while supporting only with your back(?)
- Then, only your neck will get out of bed. It's across the and my body becomes an L shape? It's a bit weird, but bear with it
- sit on the floor with your head down and your butt down
- and take a breath, and don't strain your chest!!! Sit up straight with your stomach strength
- just like bowing while wearing a hanbok, get up with just your legs!!
It seems funny, right..? You guys, this is a really great tip.. I thought 300 times about calling my mom and asking her to just wake me up..
[Except]
It's so obvious, but ㅠㅠ listen carefully to what the teacher/director/nurse says... Even if something is a bit strange, I'll send a KakaoTalk message to the manager and whine... Thank you for taking it well. Still ㅠ0ㅠ I'm
working hard on disinfecting!!!!!
It got longer as I wrote it haha. Good luck, Yesa!! Ask more questions
