First of all, I feel much better now than I thought! Except for the first day, I didn't feel any pain or inflammation. Since there are no visible scars, it's actually more comfortable than other areas...ㅋㅋ
I thought the contouring was pretty good, but honestly, this is probably because the surgery went well. If there were any side effects... I don't even want to think about itㅜ This is a good review, but always make your own surgery decisions carefully!
***The following are the discomforts I feel now***
1. My face always feels like it's cramping.
It's not to the point where it interferes with my daily life, but it's still bothering me because my senses are numb(?). When I smile, my face feels really stiff, but when I look in the mirror, I can't see it. Smiling is normal and natural, but I'm the only one who feels discomfort inside my face... Others don't know.
2. My neck muscles are so sore like they're bruised that it's uncomfortable to raise my head.
The hospital told me not to worry about this and to just stretch my neck a lot, so I'm doing that, but it's uncomfortable to raise my head. I don't know if it's because of the general anesthesia (throat intubation) or because the bruising from the jaw surgery has gone down... It wasn't so painful that it was bothersome, so I didn't ask separately. The only discomfort is when I lift my head up like I'm stretching?
3. I can't eat anything tough or hard. It's hard to chew even big things.
A lot of people know this, but it really is. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's not that I'm in trouble if I eat this, but it's more like my jaw gets tired incredibly easily? This state after chewing on about 30 pieces of tough jerky has become my daily default. My jaw is always tired and stiff...
The reason I can't eat big things is not because I can't put them in my mouth, but because it's hard to handle the strength to chew them...
*** And something that was better than I thought ***
1. When I think back to when I had double eyelid surgery or nose reduction, it's so much easier to go out.
This is natural because I had surgery on the inside of my face, but anyway... I think the fact that there are no visible scars is a bigger deal than I thought. I'm especially feeling it now because it's summer.
2. I can yawn well ㅋㅋㅋ
My mouth opens wide... ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even at the hospital, they told me not to be afraid right after the surgery and to definitely practice opening my mouth for the first 3 days? Maybe because I listened to them then, my chin is more free-spirited than I thought. I even brush my molars and tongue well.
3. The swelling isn't as bad as I thought.
They said this varies from person to person, so I was worried about whether or not to write it down... The day after the surgery, the director looked at me and said my swelling was just right, not too much or too little, so I just wrote it down.
In my case, my bone structure was already big, so my face looked smaller just because the angular parts were gone? So I went to the hospital and started freaking out that it had gotten smaller, but the director showed me the CT scan and said that it's because my bone structure has decreased, but my facial volume(?) is bigger than before the surgery, correcting my misconception... ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
So in the end, it's plus or minus, so it's zero. My face has gotten smaller, but it's not that different from my original size. ㅋ I don't know what I'm talking about...
but now that my square jaw is gone even though I'm plump, my neck looks longer... This has nothing to do with the swelling on the sides, so it's so amazing that you can already see it so well... ㅠ I just thought it would be nice if my face were smaller, and I hadn't thought about the length of my neck or the ratio, but this aspect makes
me a little happy... Anyway... I wrote down everything that came to mind right away. I'm scared, so I thought it would be nice if there was someone who could explain these things in detail before surgery... ㅎㅋㅋㅋ I hope this helps those who are looking for reviews. Fighting!!
