When I looked back at the orthognathic consultation, I heard that if I wanted to shorten the central area, I would have to cut the upper jaw and raise it, and that I might need philtrum reduction surgery.
My philtrum is not long, but it's currently about 1.8, and in a case where the philtrum is vertically apart, when I smile slightly, my front teeth are half covered by my lips,
so I don't need philtrum reduction surgery. Are the results of cutting the upper jaw much different from cutting it with the intention of doing it?
They said that if I cut my lip without thinking about reduction, my front teeth would come down 1~2mm compared to now...
If I reduce it, my scar would be too ugly, but it would come down again, so I'm really worried ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
