I am a person who underwent surgery because my facial asymmetry became worse due to multiple facial fractures, including an orbital fracture, in a car accident a few years ago.
One eye was severely distorted due to an orbital fracture, so I had three surgeries at a major university hospital in Seoul, but the problem was not resolved.
So, I decided to have the surgery here because I thought it would be better to open the uninjured eye and make it fit like the injured eye.
During the consultation, the director here said that he could do things that Seoul National University Hospital could not do, such as orbital decompression, strabismus reconstruction, and trichiasis surgery. But when I tell you the results of the surgery, 5 months after the surgery, nothing has changed at all. The only side effects that occurred were incision scars, double vision, and facial numbness.
They even asked me to get my nose done as well, saying that my septum was misaligned. They knew that I had a misaligned septum in an accident, and they said they would solve my facial asymmetry, so I trusted them all.
However, as you can see in the photo, the normal nostrils became asymmetrical due to the surgery. It's been 5 months since surgery, so swelling isn't an issue.
It seems to me that because they didn't have time, they roughly sewed one side and made it even... Anyway, this resulted in a huge incision scar that could never be erased under the bridge of the nose and columella. If anyone is curious, I'll post a picture later.
The funny thing is, when I talked to people I met while hospitalized, they all told people who didn't even come in with a nose injury that their nasal septum was deviated, that their rhinitis was bad, that they needed surgery, and that they should get a nose surgery like a parrot. I was caught because my nose was injured in an accident.
In my opinion, this director is crazy about money. In this way, they run the factory method by saying that they will do the surgery that does not need to be done or that cannot be done, and that it will be resolved by changing the situation. It's only been a few years since they opened, but I don't know if they're thinking of closing down after a few more years like this.
I didn't take the pamphlet for victims of side effects either. This is a photo someone took and posted in a group chat room for people who experienced side effects like me while hospitalized.
There are such victims' groups on the Internet, but they are deleted in a wide area through real-time monitoring by hospital staff, so they are not visible and no bad reviews are found even when searched.
It seems like all reviews are monitored and deleted, but I don't know how long this post will survive. Nevertheless, I will continue to spread the truth.
Would you be proud of your life and be happy for the future if you make money by scamming people like this who are really injured and need plastic surgery, not just cosmetic surgery?
Even though plastic surgery has been considered the best means of making money in Korea, shouldn't we have at least a sense of duty as a medical professional?
When I looked at the receipt, it seemed like they charged more for the surgery to the National Health Insurance Corporation than the actual amount and collected it separately. I think this is really great in many ways.
Please spread the word to prevent other victims from occurring.
