Reason for surgery: I had a hard time sleeping on one side due to a deviated septum. During the change of seasons, both sides are clogged, which interferes with daily life. One day, I developed symptoms of deafness, and the cause was a deviated septum.
Surgery I underwent: Septal deviated septum/rhinitis/nasal valve reconstruction/curved nose/tip of the nose/bent
nose Materials used: septal
cartilage Like most people, I worried about and consulted with a plastic surgeon or an otolaryngologist. However, it was decided to give more priority to the original purpose, “function.” So I decided to go to an ENT clinic!
I went to a plastic surgery clinic and two famous otolaryngology clinics
. I found out about this hospital because I originally planned to go to Asan Hospital,
but the wait was too long. In an interview with Asan Hospital, Jang Yong-ju Sam mentioned Jin Hong-ryul Sam as his name. I found out
about Dr. Jin's consultations. As you say, it feels simple(?) without necessarily showing kindness. He told me that it was necessary because my nose was so severe, that my skin was thin and that the crooked skin had to be corrected, and that it was a difficult surgery.
It was a short consultation, but I felt comfortable and trusted, and as he is famous for reconstruction, he seemed to have a very high understanding of noses, so I decided to do it with the belief that if something goes wrong here, it will go wrong no matter
where
you go.
I wanted a nose job.
The price here is a bit high, so should I pay higher? But then I felt like I would have to do other parts of my face as well,
so I wasn't too greedy.
“It will definitely be better than my current nose
, but if the standard is high, I may not be satisfied(?).
If I base my standards on the improvement of my shortcomings, most people are satisfied.”
- Today I got a splint. When I took it off and looked in the mirror,
I had to wait for the swelling to go down, but I liked it because it was exactly what I wanted
! Even the bent nose is aligned correctly! (Not an osteotomy)
And there is a procedure that I accidentally had when I was in elementary school without even knowing what it was. Looking back, it seemed like a sloppy surgery to cut out the septal cartilage (there was no general/sedation anesthesia), so I didn't even think about surgery until now, and when I asked at the hospital, they said they didn't do it because their memories were blurry and they didn't know what it was.
But when they opened my nose, they were surprised to see signs of surgery.
I should have said that because the approach is different.
In the end, he said it ended well
. I asked a few times because there was a recurrence of the septum and deviated nose, and
he assured me that this would not be the case,
so
I was
relieved. Every time they came, they said it would be good to do suction and disinfection, and they took good care of me.
This hospital was far from my house, so I stayed at an Airbnb for 4 days. It was very comfortable and good psychologically. I
have a bit of a phobia of injections, but the nursing staff sympathized with me and took care of me. I went alone that day, but everyone was friendly and I was thankful that I was able to receive the treatment comfortably.
I felt like my nose was clogged with mucus for about 3 days. Now I only have clear runny nose!
My eyes were dry and it wasn't as easy as I thought,
but I think I did a good job of getting both of them pierced so I could breathe,
and now I just need to recover well!
I've been in and out of this place a lot...
If there's anyone in a similar situation as me, please take note!
These days, it seems like there is surgery almost every day,
so consultations and treatments are only available after 4 o'clock.
Good things to have when getting nose surgery
: dust-free tissues, sterilized cotton swabs, shampoo hat, top with front zipper, lip balm (Vaseline).
