It 's been over a year since I had arm surgery,
and I forgot about it, but recently I went for additional scar care.
The director kept lifting my arm to find where the area was, and
the doctor said there were almost no scars, so laser treatment wouldn't make much of a difference, so I only got laser treatment for 4 out of 6 areas. (I was only going to get 2 of these, but I insisted and got them)
I laughed when I heard that my skin must be good haha.
I have received a lot of help from Seongyesa Temple, so I would like to write down the products and care methods I used while managing my scars.
1. Silicone gel sheet
surgery 7 days to 2 months I attached a sheet to the incision area and took care of it.
(I used Mephiform, but did I hear somewhere that medical silicone tape is also good? If you have experience using it, please leave a review!)
Since it is a joint that moves frequently, it was most annoying and difficult to put it on and maintain it. Still, I persevered and kept putting it on..
Get it even when you get a scar laser treatment at the hospital. I immediately put the foam back on.
2. Scar ointment.
I used Dermatix. I thought any silicone ointment would do, so
I put Mephiform on it. After two months, I only applied the ointment. I continued to do so from time to time! It's definitely more comfortable than a sheet, so I seem to have applied it consistently until the 6th
month
. 3.
I had sun ban surgery around April or May, and even in the summer, I never wore short sleeves, long sleeves, or sleeveless tops. I worried about staining my elbows for
about 6 months, but I didn't bother anymore, so I stopped using it. Even when I look at it, it’s not noticeable at all!
It's not a method that costs a lot of money, so I hope artists will try it too.
