For reference, I am a medical professional in another department.
I had facial contouring surgery in early August and was so busy that I had the CT scan a little late.
Externally, my right front jaw was more shadowed than the left and I felt a secondary angle when I touched it. The swelling hadn't gone down yet, but I could clearly see the asymmetry of both cheekbones and the sunken right cheekbone.
I talked about the secondary angle when I explained the CT results and saw my last doctor, and I didn't ask about the sunken cheekbone because I thought it would be too early to ask about it since I still had swelling.
I was able to confirm the secondary angle of my right front jaw and the asymmetry of both cheekbones on the post CT. My doctor always said that the surgery went well, but in reality, since it's done by hand, there may be some asymmetry, but as a fellow professional, I'm going to say that the secondary angle went well. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. I don't have any close friends who are plastic surgeons, so I'm writing this to vent my anger and ask questions.
1.
If you ask the hospital where the secondary angle occurred again for a second surgery, do they do it?
2. How do you usually manage and treat the sunken cheekbone and asymmetry? Get a second surgery VS. Just live like this.
