I had the surgery around 10am on June 26th and it's now the 2nd day.
My square jaw and wide face are
still there.
*
After the surgery on the same day, my throat was sore and I was so cold that I almost passed out. It was so cold that I was shivering, but it turned out that the electric blanket in my seat was broken. On that day, I had a nosebleed out of the blue + a stuffy nose + a sore throat when I tried to sleep, so I took Tylenol and endured the triple combo. I wasn't told to eat anything that day, so I just drank a ton of water and fell asleep at night.
*Day 1:
As soon as I woke up, I went to the pharmacy and bought some nasal medicine. Since I couldn't sleep, I woke up at 7 AM. Sometimes, when I cough and spit out phlegm, a white substance like booger comes out and it's gross. I still have a little nosebleed, but it's less intense than yesterday, and the swelling is worse. I slept better that day, but I woke up twice in the morning. My throat hurt, so I took Tylenol and fell asleep.
On the first day, I was told to only drink, so I ate three meals a day with Medicare (a meal replacement drink like Newcare) that I had prepared before the surgery, and I drank pumpkin juice with every meal. I took all my medicine without fail and relieved my hunger every 1-2 hours. I often applied ice packs, but the swelling doesn't show any signs of getting better.
*On the second day,
I suffered from a sore throat in the early morning, so I went to the pharmacy today and got some sore throat medicine. This morning, I took that damn Medicare again + two packs of pumpkin juice. The taste of the product itself is okay, but I don't know how many days it will last. Anyway, I heard that walking is the best for reducing the swelling, so I came out thinking of walking 20,000 steps, but walking 10,000 steps seems harder than I thought. It seems like I'll have to split it into 10,000 steps in the morning and 10,000 steps in the afternoon. They said that I can eat soft meals like porridge starting tomorrow, so I went to the supermarket and bought pumpkin porridge and a few protein drinks. It seems like it'll be pretty livable in a day or two
*** Tips for those who are getting surgery
1. Prepare medicine for a cold or sore throat in advance (It seems like most people get nasal congestion/nosebleed/sore throat symptoms)
2. Prepare meal replacement drinks like Newcare or Medicare (I'm sure these specialized drinks are good because they're nutritious)
3. I ate a lot of delicious food before the surgery, so now I'm craving anything, whether it's tteokbokki or anything else
