I didn't know if surgery in the morning was a good idea, and I didn't want to wake up stupidly early, so I made a reservation for the afternoon. But I think I did well. If I had the surgery in the morning, I would have been in pain all day until night.. I had surgery at 4:30, went in at 5, and went in at 7:30. I woke up
<the day of the surgery>
with a really runny nose and nosebleeds. I really want to blow my nose, but I can't, because the inside of my nose is covered with cotton, so the pressure is concentrated on my eyes and ears. So I keep crying and my ears hurt every time I drink water. This was so painful. Rather than pain, it was just discomfort, like my nose was twitching when I cried. It didn't hurt. After leaving the recovery room, I took a car home, but other than a little discomfort, there was no pain, so I guess I can go about my daily life, right? I wanted to, but since I can't breathe through my nose, I have to breathe through my mouth, but my mouth keeps getting dry. Having a dry mouth is much more uncomfortable than I thought. I had to drink water once every three minutes, but it still didn't feel good... In the end, I couldn't sleep at all because of the discomfort. I couldn't lie down because of the leak, so I kept sitting.
<Day 1 of the surgery>
I was still tired at this time, so I took a nap. There was no swelling on the day of the surgery, but from then on, yellow bruises started to appear little by little, and tears continued to flow, so my eyes were mostly swollen. I tried to lie down and sleep, but my nose was running behind me. It flowed and blocked my throat, making it impossible for me to breathe. I ended up having rhinitis surgery that allowed me to sit down and sleep little by little, so I had the cotton removed on the second day. I called the hospital and asked if I could take it out today. It was so painful that I couldn't sleep at night either. I could barely sleep. Stayed up all night
<Day 2 of surgery>
I waited for the hospital to open and ran in 30 minutes before it opened. The moment I took the cotton out, I thought my brain was falling out. The feeling of someone piercing my nostrils was really refreshing. I realized that breathing through my nose is such a grateful thing. My nose got stuffy and runny nose for a while, but after removing the cotton, I felt really comfortable and fine, and I was able to do almost everything. From then on, I slept well. If I had to have nose surgery again, I wouldn't be able to do it because of the cotton in my nose. It doesn't hurt at all, but the cotton is really good. It was so uncomfortable... I kept crying and the swelling reached up to my eyebrows. At the hospital, they said I was too swollen. I took swelling fluid + swelling injection + swelling medicine. So, in the afternoon, the swelling went down a lot. [Trypline Benosin recommended for swelling medicine] From this point on, I lay down and ah~~~ ~~ I slept well for a
week <3rd day after surgery> Maybe
it was because my nose was clogged, but I had no sense of taste. But I was hungry so I kept eating something. The bruises started to turn more yellow and now I have runny nose instead of nosebleeds.
<4th to 6th days after surgery>
Bruising. Evolved from yellow to purple bruising. It became so ugly that I thought it was Frankenstein.
<Day 7 of surgery>
Half of the stitches and the splint were removed. When the splint was removed, my nose was a little high, right? I wanted to, but after that, it got lower and lower. I was worried because I heard that if you wear a splint, you will have a lot of trouble with sebum, but it actually made me feel better! There wasn't much difference from before the surgery (my own hand). From this point on, the bruises started to gradually disappear.
<Day 8 ~ Day 10 after surgery>
From this point on, the bruises started to fall off rapidly! Look, the bruises seem to go away first, and the yellow bruises seem to take about 2 weeks to go away. I really saw the effects of the warm compress. I saw the results immediately
after using it. <11th day after surgery ~ 18th day after surgery>
The swelling is going down each day! The bruises are all gone. My nose is getting thinner and I can see the swelling going down every day. However, if I make a little mistake in my posture, the swelling will quickly come back up. I put on makeup, go out and have fun, and am doing well in my daily life! I had a nose reduction + double nose surgery, so the sutures are a little tight. I'm not yet at the stage where I can smile as much as I want. I was
bored, so I've been using it from the day of surgery until now. I hope it helps people who are about to have surgery and who are having a hard time after surgery!! Except for the nose, it's really all over. Just wait a little longer ㅠㅠ
