Is the smell after nose surgery inflammation?

At first, I thought it was the smell of boogers, so I thought it would get better over time. But
 now, it's been 2 and a half months since my nose surgery, and I still smell it.
 If I disinfect the inside of my nose, the smell goes away, but
 if there's even a little bit of boogers, it stinks a little, right? Is this the smell of rotten fish? There are times when
 it smells so much that I want to smell it. Whenever I pick my nose, hard boogers come out. So I can't tell if it's a booger smell or inflammation. Is there a high probability that it's inflammation??ㅠㅠㅠ
