It's been almost 17 years since I had my nose done, and my nose tip is drooping and the middle is sinking in.
It's starting to feel like a beak. So I decided to have another surgery and was on a tour of hospitals.
Hospital name: Kowon
Counselor: Kim Hyung-taek
Consultation fee: 10,000
I waited over an hour past the appointment time...
Then, I had a reservation at another hospital, so
the actual consultation with the director took about 5-10 minutes
. The director was kind and conducted the consultation gently.
This was a case of a person who wanted a second surgery due to a droopy nose tip, and he said that
both cartilage and autologous costal cartilage can droop again due to daily habits (biting by pulling in the upper lip). He said that he could leave
the bridge of the nose as is and only do the tip of the nose, but the price would be the same.
After looking at the CT scan and my actual nose, he asked me if I wanted surgery since it was already fine and pretty enough. I felt good inside.
Surgery under general anesthesia took 2-2.5 hours. Although
I waited a long time, the consultation fee was free.
Hospital name: Anne Plus
Counselor: Yoon Hyun-cheol
Consultation fee: 10,000
I went after getting a photo of the nose I wanted,
and after looking at that, I had to have my nasal bone cut.
They said I had to use my own costal cartilage for the tip of my nose so that it wouldn't sag again.
I was under general anesthesia. The surgery took 3 hours
(2 hours for nose surgery and 1 hour for costal cartilage).
They took a CT scan and put a long cotton swab inside my nose
to check. (Did I have a deviated septum? Or not? They were talking to themselves.) The consultation was refreshing.
However, the head of the consultation room doesn't do nose surgery.
They said the consultation would take 1 to 1.5 hours, but
it took a total of 30 minutes after taking pictures, consulting, and talking to the head
of the consultation room. I made the next appointment 2 hours later, but I lost track of time.
Still, it was good because it was over quickly.
Hospital name: Hwi (former Se-in)
Counselor: Hwang Se-hui
Consultation fee: 10,000
They said it hasn't even been open for a month, but it can't be found in Naver
. The consultation explanation was very detailed and thorough (I liked it, but some people may not like it). It felt like a hidden expert.
No CT scan. I had to lie down and check
the inside of my nose. They checked the tip of my nose and the bridge of my nose. (I like this kind of confirmation.)
The cartilage was a bit saggy, so I had to use silicone on the bridge of my nose. If you tell me it moves slightly,
I think the explanation will be natural and will take off without feeling artificial. They
said they will put in silicone pieces and put it in. They said
I will wake up and fall asleep under partial anesthesia and wake up and fall asleep
again. If I want general anesthesia, it will cost an additional 1.1 million won
. I
only went to 3 places today.
There are still a few left, but
I can't choose because each hospital has its pros and cons. I want to leave
the bridge of my nose as it is and just raise the end a bit more, but
since I'm going to do it anyway, I want to do it fancy, but
I'm afraid that if I overdo it, there will be problems later.
The cost is expensive because it's a second surgery. The 3rd group for today's consultation ranges from 550 to 780.
