Is it common to cut flesh while removing stitches?

It's my first time with double arms. I heard it stings when removing the stitches. Even though it stung a little, I endured it
 because they said it would sting in the first place. And then they wiped the area around my eye. On the day of the stitch removal, I was so excited just by the fact that the stitches were being removed that I didn't wear anything. But when I looked the next day, there was a mark where I had cut my eyebrow with the tip of a pair of scissors. I was so angry. Is this common??
 
I added a photo, but it turned out that it was cut while removing the stitches for the upper slit. I contacted the hospital, and they said they couldn't confirm it in the photo. They said it could have been because the upper slit wasn't bitten yet, but anyone can see that it was cut with the tip of scissors, but now it's a soft crust.
