Hello,
I am scheduled to have a nasal septum (deviated nose osteotomy) surgery soon to tie the hooked beak and cartilage
at the tip of my nose . I received a detailed second consultation today, and
the doctor said that if I shave off the hooked beak, the height of my nose will be lowered. Since my nose is quite high, I did not use a columellar support or septum reconstruction, but rather thinly cartilage the tip of my nose. 1. Is
there anyone who collapsed or suffered any side effects due to not having a columellar support or nasal septum reconstruction? (How many millimeters of cartilage was removed from the tip of the nose?)
2. Did anyone who had the cartilage tie have any effect on the tip of the nose?
If the cartilage is tied and time passes, will it sag again?
3. And while I was getting my nose drooped , I was worried about whether I should
add cartilage to raise it up a bit or
just tie the cartilage.
