This is a review that I am posting on a chat room because I feel unfair and upset.

I went to the above hospital for a consultation and came back feeling so upset that I looked through all the reviews to see if I was the only one who felt this way and ended up writing this.
 
Here is my review: Perhaps because the director has been a professor for a long time, he treats his patients as if they were young students. After reading some reviews, I studied a lot about all the surgical methods for the nose surgery I was planning to do (I studied and worried about nose surgery for 2 years...), but when I asked a question, they said it was all on the blog and told me to come back, and they spoke in a dismissive tone. I was upset.
 
For your information, the voice and tone itself were gentle, but the 'meanings' of each word were not gentle at all and were dismissive, so I felt strange. The words behind the friendly mask were actually words of ignorance. Just his voice and pitch seem gentle (I think it feels that way because he has a nice voice), so I think some people say he's kind.
 
When I asked about the follow-up handling of side effects, they asked me why I was asking about something that may or may not happen (it was a long story, but that was the point) and did not give me confidence in how exactly they would 'deal with it'. I also know that the surgery to transplant nasal cartilage when you have a deviated septum has a high chance of the cartilage sticking out. I asked if it would be okay to have surgery when I have a deviated septum, and the answer was exactly this. ‘You can say something like that only after graduating from medical school, becoming a professor at a university, etc., and studying professionally for 30 years.’ Thanks to this, my curiosity about the question was not resolved. In the end, what I really meant by saying the above was, “Why are you asking such a question when you’re not even a medical student?”
 
All questions were not professionally explained with a clear yes/no answer. You just kept repeating it in the same way as above and saying that it could be like that or it could be like that. When asked if my nose was a box nose, he said that if he (the director) did not mention it, it was not because he did not mention it. It's like being ignored when a part-timer at a convenience store asks you if you need an envelope, he frowns and asks if you can't see that you need an envelope just by looking at him. When I ask a
 
simple question, he says that all such information is on the blog, and when I ask questions that require specialized knowledge, I feel ignored. If you do, you can tell me. Why are you thinking about a problem that only children who studied medicine should think about? (I am referring to medicine here, but the main point is this). How can I please Dr. Lee? It was hard to know if I should give it away.
 
After the consultation with the director, I met with the director of counseling, and the director told me that I was not a good fit for our hospital and that I should go to another hospital. I think he told me to pass it on to him. I wouldn't have felt so bad if the director had told me directly that he didn't think I was a good fit for our hospital, but when I met the counseling director and said that now I just need to hear the payment amount, the answer I got was, "The director is talking to ㅇㅇ." He said it was not suitable for our hospital. “I think it would be better to go to another hospital,” which made me even more embarrassed and angry. Why do I have to be treated like a real guest? During the consultation with the director, I felt that I was being ignored by rude comments, but I persisted because I thought the doctor's kindness and surgical skills were not proportional, but I persisted for no reason.

One of the reviews about the hospital said that it felt like they only selected easy cases and patients who weren't too worried, and I felt exactly that way. During the consultation, I remember the director saying that my nose was more complicated to operate on than other people's.
 Perhaps because I have a lot of questions and the surgery is more complicated than others, they have already dismissed me as being out of the question and have been rudely answering all my questions. As I read the many reviews, I thought carefully about whether I was really a genuine customer, but as I read the reviews, I actually sympathized. There are more people than you think who feel the same way as me.
 
Oh, and I can try to understand the director's dislike of 'worried' patients like me, but it was really unfair to say that I was a 'suspicious' patient. I wanted to do it here, so I waited for two weeks from a far away place.
 
In other hospitals, even if you ask a question, they assume it is a question you are naturally curious about and answer it, but here, they find such questions annoying and dislike it, and customers who ask questions are treated as real patients. That made me feel bad and angry enough to write this.
 Maybe it's because I went there with high expectations because I wanted to do something here, but I was as disappointed as I was expecting.
 
In many ways, I am receiving a real stimulation to study... ^^ If I had known that I would be treated as such an ignorant truth, I would have become a medical student that the director would ignore... haha ​​Even though I am a student with a different major, I will study hard and never be ignored like this in the future. I'll try my best!
 
Well, regardless of this, the counselor and desk staff were actually kinder.
 In particular, the nurse (counseling director) was a neat and clear person, so I liked it more than the director. As for the hospital facilities, you should not expect typical plastic surgery clinics these days, but rather a local hospital, or a very old hospital at that. The floral wallpaper was impressive, and climbing up the third floor without an elevator was also impressive.
Also, the reason I wanted to have the surgery despite the unfriendly attitude of the doctor was because of the safety of the surgery and my satisfaction with the design of the before and after surgery photos. I think that those who prefer a natural look will be very satisfied after seeing the surgery review photos.
 
Lastly, there is something I would like to say to those who will read this article. Have you ever thought that the reason for the high level of satisfaction after surgery may be due to reasons other than being truly satisfied? Before I went to this hospital, I thought that people who were really satisfied with their surgery would write good reviews. But what would you think if I told you that the doctor was selecting the patients?
 
I would like you to know that there are hospitals that only select those who desperately want to have nose surgery even though they have not received explanations from doctors about how to deal with the side effects of nose surgery, those with noses that are relatively easy to have nose surgery on, and those who can have nose surgery without deep concerns.
 
Among the plastic surgery consultation reviews at this hospital [as J.Lulu2 said (the director said he sent it to him because he was confident that he would do well in the surgery, otherwise he wouldn't have the surgery) and as b5878 said (it's just an easy nose) I hope everyone will think carefully about why there are no malicious comments, and I hope you’ll read the reviews carefully as well: “People who are really going to cause problems don’t have surgery at all.”
 
The consultation director told me that the director is as much of a perfectionist as he is sensitive, and of course the patient has no choice but to be sensitive as he or she is having a nose surgery that will last a lifetime. Patients are not supposed to be sensitive, and doctors can be sensitive to each and every attitude of the patient. I wonder if it will work..
 
Only if the case is a good candidate for surgery in the doctor's opinion will you receive a friendly answer during the consultation. If not, from then on, all questions will be answered mercilessly in a format similar to the one I experienced, so be careful.
 
I guess we're now in an era where patients have to try to please the doctor in order to get surgery only if they like the doctor? Haha,
 
this is the first time I've been treated like this out of the 4 hospitals I visited this year (even though I've never been treated like this in the 6 hospitals before that), I was so embarrassed and angry that I wrote this long post.
 
I hope you make a good choice and get good results.
 
PS If I were to describe how I felt on the day I received counseling in one sentence, it would be like catching a taxi and being denied a ride because I was going to a short distance.
 Taxi drivers, only choose customers who are going to places far away where you can easily make money. I hope you realize that if you filter out passengers, you may one day be completely filtered out.

[@바다향] 저도 동감해요. 저도 요기서 하고 정말 인생 찾았거든요. 우울증도 코재수술 하고 나아서 제 마음까지 치료해준 선생님인데 이런 일이 생겨 너무 속상하네요ㅠㅠ 저도 사실 처음엔 원장님 너무 말을 딱딱하게 하셔서 무서웠는데 수술 후 몇번 뵙고 츤데레시라는걸 깨달았어요..!!

저도 여기 상담 받았어요 저의 코 상태를 말하자면 별의 별 재료 다 들어간 코에요 저는 원장상담도 좋았구 스텝상담도 좋았어요 가격부담이 되는건 사실이지만 제거(복원)수술을 진행한다면 여기서 하고 싶다는 생각 들었어요 물론 발품을 더 팔아야겠죠

인터넷 서칭 몇년 했다고 의대교수 공부,실전 수술양과 견줄게 되나요..? 글쓴님은 억울하셨겠지만 저는 의사분 이해가 갑니다. 본인 원하는 환자 입맛대로 한다고 분개하셨는데 그럼 안되나요.. 어차피 불만만 많을 환자일게 뻔한데 굳이 본인 커리어에 오점 남기고싶지 않은거죠. 저 의사도 본인이 기분 나쁘니 말투가 곱진 않았겠지만 글쓴님도 훈수두는 말투로 하셨을것같은데요.

[@소로보] 참고로 왜 제가 여기서 의사편을 드냐면, 이미 글쓴님은 내가 이만큼 시간을 들여 "모든" 수술법을 "공부"해갔다고 자부심이 넘치시는데 글에서도 정확하게 느껴집니다만 이게 실제로 말하는 어투에서 안느껴질까요? 그 부분에서 의사도 기분상하고 우스운거죠. 의사들 나쁘게 말해 재수없고 싸가지 없는사람 많습니다. 잘 아는데 이 일은 글쓴님도 그런 말투로 대화 이어질만 했다는 얘깁니다.
