I'm bored while working part-time,
so I'll tell you about my double eyelid surgery and how I chose a hospital.
My eyes are 9 months old after natural adhesion + eye shape correction.
Before the double eyelid surgery, it had been a little over a month since I stopped getting double eyelids every day, so they were in worse condition than when I didn't have double eyelids. ㅋㅋ I'm 19 years old now, and I just didn't have double eyelids until I was in 3rd year of middle school, but when I started high school, I started wearing double eyelids for real every day.
People who have worn them know, but it's so irritating that your eyes get red and swollen. When your eyes are swollen, double eyelids don't work well and stuff. My eyelids would also crack and dead skin cells would form. It was so itchy and painful...
So before starting my second year of high school, I was planning to get it done during winter break and I did a lot of research and visited 4-5 places. The way I chose the hospital for consultation was by looking at the top doctors on other plastic surgery apps, and I think the most important thing I looked at was the photos of the plastic surgery reviews.
I knew that the reviews were written as part of a review event, so I tried to be as objective as possible. I also considered how similar my eyes were before double eyelid surgery, and I chose the hospital by looking at the reviews to see what kind of lines the doctor is good at and what kind of eye shape he or she is pursuing!
I looked for hospitals and got consultations from all of them, but except
for one, they all said I had to get it done with an incision. Normally, I would have thought that one place that said I could get the surgery without an incision would be strange, but considering my age and my objective view of my eyes, I kept thinking that it would turn out well with a non-incision surgery, so I got the surgery at that one hospital that said I could get it done without an incision (and that's where I had the most trust in the consultation). I was
really satisfied with the results. After the surgery, maybe because it was a non-incision surgery, there wasn't much swelling.
I went for a walk every night and kept my eyes wide open, so I think the eye line was pretty and well-defined.
Now, people don't know how to get double eyelids unless I tell them, and my friends keep forgetting about it, lol. But it wasn't noticeable, and I got it done as naturally as possible.
To summarize
, 1. You need to have a good metacognition about your eyes (ex. whether your eyes need an incision or can be done without an incision, the harmony of your eyes, nose, and mouth when you get double eyelids, the exact line you want = chagumi)
2. Find a hospital through 1 and get a consultation (things to consider -> the hospital that will do the surgery ) I tried to write without obvious details as much as possible about
whether the doctor is good at natural lines or flashy lines, or if he reflects my needs as much as possible
... I don't know if it was helpful. Oh, and don't trust the doctors or hospitals that are at the top of BBT or GNN.
I trusted them and went for a consultation, but even though I paid for the consultation, the consultation with the doctor was really phony and didn't even last a minute. Even
though I made a reservation, I waited for over 30 minutes for the consultation... It wasn't that great because they did a more sloppy job than other places that don't charge money. Even the price was the highest among the hospitals I've consulted with. I think the answer is to go for a consultation yourself and do the legwork.
